• Computer Literacy: It is mandatory for candidates to have operating and working knowledge of computer systems. This means that they should possess a Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/language or have studied Computer/Information Technology as a subject during their high school/college/institute education.
• Proficiency in the Official Language: It is preferable for candidates to have proficiency in the Official Language of the State/Union Territory (UT) for which they wish to apply. This includes the ability to read, write, and speak the Official Language.
• Ex-Servicemen who do not possess the aforementioned civil examination qualifications are required to have a minimum educational qualification of matriculation (10th standard).
• However, Ex-Servicemen who have completed at least 15 years of service in the Armed Forces of the Union and have obtained the Army Special Certificate of Education or a corresponding certificate in the Navy or Air Force are also eligible. These certificates should be obtained on or before July 21, 2024, to meet the eligibility criteria.

• a Citizen of India or 
• a subject of Nepal or 
• a subject of Bhutan or 
• a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or 
• a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. 

Guidelines for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities

In the context of the IBPS Clerk exam, visually impaired candidates and those whose writing speed is permanently affected for any reason have the option to use their own scribe, but at their own expense. This accommodation is provided to ensure that candidates facing such challenges can participate in the exam on an equal footing.

• Candidates availing of this facility must adhere to certain guidelines. Firstly, the responsibility of arranging the scribe lies entirely with the candidate.
