RPF SI Exam 2024 Highlights

Railway Protection Force or RPF came into existence in 1872 to provide better protection and security of railway property. RPF works under the aegis of Indian Ministry Of Railways. It has the power to search, investigate, arrest and prosecute. Almost every year the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) invites applications from eligible candidates to fill the SI vacancies in RPF and RSPF for various zones of Indian Railways via the Central Employment Notice (CEN).

RPF SI Exam Notification

Indian Railway has released the official notification for recruiting Railway Protection Force & Railway Protection Special Force Sub-Inspectors (RPF & RPSF SI) on 15 April, 2024. The RPF SI notification 2024 will have all the details and candidates should go through it not to miss any important updates. All the candidates have to visit the official website for filling the online application form of RPF and RPSF SI post. The application process is live from 15 April to 14 May, 2024. Potential candidates must apply without delay to land a decent and rewarding government job in the Indian Railways.

Every year Railway conducts recruitment for the post of Sub-Inspectors. To get the dream job a candidate must be familiar with the RPF SI notification. The entire recruitment of RPF SI will be objective type online mode. All stages of the RPF SI examination are mandatory. Railway Protection Force Sub-Inspectors or RPF SI will take place in three stages- Computer Based Test (CBT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Document Verification (DV). A candidate has to qualify all the three stage to be appointed as RPF SI.

RPF SI Exam Pattern 2024 CBT

To start with your preparation candidates must have a good understanding of the RPF SI exam pattern and syllabus. RPF SI Phase 1 will be of objective type online mode, i.e. Computer Based Test. A candidate has the facility of choosing the exam language in which he/she wants to give the RPF SI Phase 1 exam from the set of languages mentioned in the Paper. RPF SI Phase 1 consists of 120 questions with a time limit of 90 minutes. RPF SI Phase 1 will have a penalty of 1/3rd marks for every wrong answer.

RPF SI Physical Efficiency Test And Physical Measurement Test

Candidates who qualify the Phase 1 of RPF SI exam will be called for the second stage of RPF SI recruitment i.e. for Phase 2. All the candidates need to follow certain parameters to be called for document verification, which is the last stage of RPF SI recruitment process. This is only qualifying in nature and no marks are awarded for it.

RPF SI Document Verification

The last phase or stage of RPF SI recruitment is - document verification. A detailed analysis of the RPF SI application form that a candidate has filled during online application procedure is checked and the candidates are asked to produce the documents of the information they have provided. If a candidate failed to provide all the documents required to present then his/her candidature is cancelled.

RPF SI Salary

A candidate appointed as RPF SI will be paid in Level 6 of 7th CPC Pay matrix. Besides this RPF SI will be eligible for other benefits which include dearness allowance, house rent allowance, transport allowance, children education allowance, medical facilities, CSD facility etc. Candidates appointed as RPF SI will be covered under the national pension system (NPS) of the government. RPF SI Exam Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for applying online for the Sub-Inspector recruitment exam in Indian Railways a candidate must possess some essential RPF SI eligibility criteria as mentioned in the official notification. A candidate must not be younger than 20 years and older than 25 years on the date mentioned in the RPF SI official notification. This age limit pertains to general category.

RPF SI Education Criteria

RPF ask for a bachelor’s degree in any subject from any recognized university to be eligible for applying online for RPF SI recruitment as on the date mentioned in the official notification of RPF SI. RPF SI Age Relaxation

Like all other recruitment, RPF SI also provides relaxation in the upper age limit of the reserved category. This age relaxation varies from one category to another within the reserved category. To claim age relaxation a candidate must have a valid caste certificate that should be produced when asked.
