Railway Protection Force Sub-Inspectors Exam Syllabus
One of the most important things while looking at any official notification is the exam pattern and then the syllabus. These two factors help test-takers to understand the exam properly and make necessary preparation plans likewise. The RPF SI Notification 2024 was out on April 15, 2024, providing details of the RPF SI Exam Dates and other important details about the recruitment. Now, as you would know from the notification, the online exam will be a computer-based test. Altogether, for the RPF SI Recruitment, there are three Phases. The first phase will be the written exam which is a computer-based one like we just told you. After that comes the Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/Physical Measurement Test (PMT). RPF SI Exam Pattern
The RPF SI Phase 1 Exam which is a computer-based online test, will be 90 minutes long. There will be three sections – Basic Arithmetic, , General Awareness, and General Intelligence and Reasoning, from which questions will be asked. Each section contains 120 questions, with a total of 120 marks. While Basic Arithmetic and General Intelligence carries 35 marks for 35 questions, General Awareness holds a weightage of 50 marks for 50 questions. Please Note:
- The RPF Exam 2024 is a computer-based test.
- The marking system awards 1 mark for each correct answer.
- There will be a negative marking penalty of 1/3 mark for every incorrect response.
- Candidates carrying banned items like communication devices and electronic gadgets of any kind (mobile phones, Bluetooth, pen drive, laptops, calculators, smart watches, etc.), bangles, chains, bracelets, hearing aids, wallets/purses, belts, shoes, metallic wears, etc., or any stationery items like pen/pencil, shall NOT be allowed to appear in the exam.
- Any violation shall lead to disqualification besides legal action and debarment from future recruitment exams.

After completing the initial stage of the RPF SI Recruitment process, candidates move on to the next phase – the RPF SI Exam 2024 Physical Measurement Test (PMT).
