IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 Exam Pattern 2021

The registration process will commence for IBPS RRB Scale 1 Officer 2021 soon. You should plan your preparation and make the most of the time available at hand. The IBPS RRB exam conducted for Officer post cannot be taken too lightly and thus you should be aware of the complete exam pattern for IBPS RRB Scale 1. IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 exam 2021 is expected to be consist of three phases: Prelims & Mains followed by Interview. Both these exams will consist of different sections and will also consist of sectional cut-offs. 

IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 Prelims Exam Pattern 2021

 IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 Prelims exam will be an online objective examination that will consist of only two tests, unlike other banking exams. There will be two sections: Reasoning & Numerical Ability. Both the tests will be bilingual along with the regional language option to choose. To make sure that you qualify the sectional and overall cut-off of IBPS RRB Scale 1 Prelims, you should be able to score decent marks in both the sections, for which you will have to practice well.

  • There will also be a penalty for all the incorrect answers attempted by you.
  • For every incorrect response, 1/4th of the marks allotted to that question will be deducted.

IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 Mains Exam Pattern 2021

IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 exam for Mains will also be an online objective examination scheduled for September 25, 2021 which will consist of questions from various subjects: Reasoning, Computer Knowledge, General Awareness, English or Hindi Language, and Quantitative Aptitude. All the questions will be bilingual along with regional language options to choose from, except the test of language. The test of the English language will consist of questions in English and those who will opt for the test of Hindi language will get questions in the Hindi language only.   • For every incorrect attempt, there will be a penalty of 1/4th marks allotted to that question. 
  • There will not be any penalty for a question left unattempted.
  • You need to qualify the minimum cut-off scores in each test in order to ensure your further selection.

 Selected as an RRB Scale 1 Officer you will have to go through a probation period of 2 years. During this probation period, the Scale 1 Officer will receive a fixed amount of pay which will not be at par with the usual salary of a Scale 1 Officer. Once the training period is over, you will be designated as Assistant Manager. Some of the basic tasks and duties of an RRB Scale 1 Officer will be:

  • Providing and recovering loans.
  • Supervising the junior staff.
  • To inspect and ensure there are no illegal activities going on in the bank.

There will be a penalty for every wrong answer that you will mark in the IBPS RRB Scale 1 exam. One-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty and an unmarked question will attract no penalty.

Application is the first and foremost step in the examination process and therefore you should not commit any mistake while applying for any exam. If you do not complete the application process successfully, you will not be able to appear in the RRB Officer Scale 1 exam. The steps you need to follow in the IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 application process are given below:

  • Visit the official website of IBPS: www.ibps.in and click on the link “CRP for RRBs” and then click on “CLICK HERE TO APPLY ONLINE FOR  CRP- RRBs OFFICERS (Scale-I, II and III)” . This will open the online application form.
  • After this, please click on “CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION” link and register yourself.
  • You will have to upload your scanned photograph, signature, left thumb impression and a hand written declaration, according to the guidelines specified by IBPS.
    • The photograph should have dimensions of 4.5cm * 3.5 cm.
    • Signature will  not be accepted in CAPITAL LETTERS.
    • Left thumb impression should be scanned properly and should be clear.
    • The handwritten declaration should be in your own handwriting and in English. 
  • Format of Hand-Written Declaration:
    • “I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”
  • You can verify your details by clicking on the “Save & Next” button.
  • After uploading all the documents, you will be directed to the next part of application where you will have to enter all the important and complete details related to your educational and professional background.
  • The final step in application will be payment of application fee.
  • Choose one of the suitable online payment methods and submit the application fee.
  • Click on “FINAL SUBMIT”.

While applying for IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 exam you should be careful about the fact that the application will not be completed unless you submit the IBPS RRB Scale 1 Officer application fee for the exam.
