IBPS RRB PO Scale 1 Syllabus & Exam Pattern 2026- Check Subject Wise Exam Syllabus

IBPS RRB PO Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2026

The IBPS RRB PO exam pattern and syllabus are the first things that every candidate must check before starting preparation. Knowing the exam structure will help you understand how many questions will come from each section and how marks are given. This is important because it allows you to prepare with focus and plan your time better in the exam.

For IBPS RRB PO (Scale 1) 2026, the recruitment process has three stages. The first stage is the Preliminary Exam, the second is the Main Exam, and the last stage is the Interview. Both the Prelims and Mains exams are held online and have objective-type questions. The Prelims exam tests reasoning and numerical ability.

The Main exam includes reasoning, quantitative aptitude, general awareness, computer knowledge, and either English or Hindi language. Each wrong answer will have negative marking, so candidates need to answer carefully.

The syllabus covers a wide range of topics in reasoning, maths, language skills, computer basics, and current financial awareness. Candidates who prepare with the full syllabus in mind are more likely to score well.

Having a strong study plan and practicing regularly is key to clearing the exam. The official IBPS RRB PO notification will provide complete details about the exam pattern and syllabus, and every aspirant should read it carefully before starting their preparation.

IBPS RRB PO Prelims Exam Pattern

The IBPS RRB PO Prelims exam will be held online and will have only objective-type questions. The Prelims paper has two main sections, which are Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude. Each section carries equal marks, and candidates must perform well in both to clear the cut-off. The test will be available in English, Hindi, and also in regional languages as mentioned in the notification.

The Prelims exam is only the first stage of the selection process. To move ahead to the Mains exam, candidates must score the minimum qualifying marks set by IBPS in each section as well as overall.

Since there is negative marking for wrong answers, it is important to attempt the questions carefully. Doing well in the Prelims is crucial, as only those who qualify here will get a chance to appear in the Mains exam.
