In the IBPS PO exam 2020, the syllabus for both the Prelims & Mains exam is not different, as far as the three sections are concerned ( English Language, Quantitative Aptitude & Reasoning). IBPS PO Exam Pattern 2020

IBPS PO has been one of the most sought-after jobs and thus can be expected to be one of the toughest ones too. IBPS PO Prelims 2020 is the first phase of the IBPS PO recruitment process. Only recently IBPS has introduced a new pattern of sectional timings in the IBPS PO ‘Prelims’ as well as  in ‘Mains. All the questions will be ‘objective type’. You will have to secure sectional cut-off in each test along with the overall cut-off to qualify for IBPS PO Mains 2020. IBPS PO Mains Exam Pattern 

After IBPS PO Prelims is over and you have been shortlisted according to the announced cut-off, you will be called for IBPS PO Mains exam further. The IBPS PO Mains exam consists of four objective tests along with one English descriptive test which will be evaluated only if you secure the expected cut-off in the other four objective tests. The cumulative score ( Objective tests marks + Descriptive marks) obtained in IBPS PO Mains exam will further go on to decide your selection for the third ie IBPS PO Interview stage.

IBPS PO Salary 2020

Once you are fully aware of all the details , one important aspect still remains to be known which is the IBPS PO salary. It is extremely necessary to know about the salary / pay scale in the job you are aiming to get for yourself .It is always good to know each and every detail of a job you are aiming for as your future depends on it. Salary of IBPS PO can be expected to be on similar lines with what it was the previous year. We can not completely predict the IBPS PO salary in hand but you can surely get a clear idea of what to expect.

  • An IBPS PO or Probationary Officer is entitled to receive a starting basic salary of Rs 23,700 / month.
  • IBPS PO salary structure also includes a ‘Dearness Allowance’ of Rs. 13,000 (around 55% of the basic salary). 
  • An IBPS PO will also be entitled to various other allowances and perks such as House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance along with some annual increments.
Probationary Officer(PO)

IBPS PO Job Profile

Once you cross all the stages and finally reach the phase of being a IBPS PO ( Probationary Officer), you are designated as an Assistant Manager (AM) and are supposed to be on a probation period of two years. In some of the banks, this period maybe of just 1 year. It is referred to as Junior Management Grade Scale - I, thus giving the designation of Scale - I Officer. You will have to go through an induction programme held by the banks, which usually lasts for 10-20 days. Once this programme is over, the Scale-I Officers are liable to get posted anywhere across India. An IBPS PO is practically expected to be a multi-tasking person who is also responsible for :

IBPS PO Marking Scheme

IBPS follows a certain criteria when it comes to the marks allotment. This particular marking scheme can also be considered as a part of the difficulty level of the IBPS PO exam. Every incorrect answer would cost 1/4th of the original marks allotted to the particular question. There will not be any deduction for an unattempted answer in IBPS PO 2020.

IBPS PO Exam Language

The IBPS PO (Prelims + Mains) exam 2020 give you facility to choose your medium of exam between English and Hindi language. Except the test of English Language, all the other tests can be given in your desired language. Also, IBPS PO exam interface gives you an option to view any particular question in a different medium apart from the one that has been selected in the starting. This option will also be available for all the tests as mentioned above, except the test of English Language.

IBPS PO 2020: How To Apply Online 

Once the official notification  of IBPS PO is released, you will be required to start your IBPS PO online application process and start filling the application form. IBPS PO ‘apply online’ link will be activated. IBPS PO online registration process has been simplified in a few steps given below:

  • As the IBPS PO Recruitment 2020 Notification is released, you can start applying for the same.
  • Go to the official website of IBPS and search for the IBPS PO registration link and click on: "CLICK HERE FOR REGISTRATION" tab provided on the top right corner of the page.
  • You will be redirected to the first page of the IBPS PO 2020 application form where you will be required to fill in all the basic details and click on the Save & Next button to move forward.
  • You will now be redirected to the second page of the form where you will be asked to upload your scanned passport size photograph and signature based on the specification mentioned therein and click on the next button.
  • After you move on to the next page, you will have to fill in your personal details including your educational qualifications.
  • The next step would be filling the exam centres preference list. You will be required to fill in 4 centres. Click on 'Save & Next'.
  • After you are finished with entering the details, the preview of your form will be shown, so that if you find any errors, you may edit and correct it. Once the application is submitted, you will not be able to edit it.
  • At the end, you will have to choose a preferable online payment method to submit the application fee for IBPS PO. You can pay the fees through credit card / debit card / net banking etc.
  • Click on the 'Submit' button to complete the application.

IBPS PO Application Fee

Once you are done with the complete application process of the IBPS PO exam 2020, you will be asked to submit the required application fee for the IBPS PO exam. IBPS will allot various centres for the IBPS PO  exam 2020. You are allotted IBPS PO Prelims exam centre and IBPS PO Mains exam centre according to the various shifts of the exam. Usually the IBPS PO Prelims exam is held across two weeks on ‘Saturdays’ & ‘Sundays’ in more than one shifts throughout the day, whereas the Mains exam is held in a single week, usually on one day, as the number of shortlisted candidates are lesser than those appearing in IBPS PO Prelims.

IBPS PO Admit Card 2020

After the application process for the IBPS PO 2020 ends, after few days you will be intimated regarding the release of the IBPS PO admit card, indicating the date, time and venue of the exam. The procedure will be same for both IBPS PO Prelims & Mains. The IBPS PO admit card for Prelims will be released few days before the exam and the IBPS PO Mains admit card will be released few days before the IBPS PO Mains. You have to bring a print of the IBPS PO admit card along with a xerox copy of an identity proof, failing which you will not be allowed to appear in the exam.The final stage will be Interview and the IBPS PO Interview call letter will also be released few days before the date of the Interview.
