    The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is an autonomous body which was established in 1975. It began the Common Recruitment Process (CRP) for Probationary Officers (PO) in 2011 to streamline bank recruitments across India. Since then, the IBPS PO exam is conducted annually to recruit eligible candidates for the post of Probationary Officer/Management Trainee (PO/MT) in various public sector banks.
