The Staff Selection Commission of Haryana has released its official notification for the post of HSSC Constable 2024. If you are interested in applying for the same, the online registration application window will open from September 10, 2024, and close by September 29, 2024. HSSC has invited applications from young and eligible candidates to fill 5600 posts of Group C under the Police Department. There is no application fee to be paid for the HSSC online application process as per the HSSC notification 2024. The Haryana Staff Selection Commission will shortlist a sufficient number of candidates based on their performance in the Common Eligibility Test (CET) to appear for the Physical Measurement Test, followed by the Physical Screening Test, both of which will be qualifying in nature.

HSSC Constable Exam Pattern 2024
In order to clear the HSSC Constable Exam 2024, you have to undergo a Common Eligibility Test (CET), a Physical Measurement Test and, a Physical Screening Test. : Candidates having an NCC certificate of A, B or C level shall get 01, 02 and 03 marks respectively (for Constables).
Candidates will have to first qualify the HSSC Physical Measurement Test to move onto the Physical Screening Test. Those who qualify the HSSC Physical Screening Test will then be able to move onto the Knowledge Test.
You will go through the Physical Screening Test (PST). It will be of qualifying in nature and is supposed to test your physical fitness and endurance. The prescribed standards are mentioned below:

If you qualify PST, you will be called for Physical Measurement Test or PMT as per standards prescribed in Haryana Police (Non-Gazetted & other ranks) Service Rules. If you fail to meet the standards prescribed for Physical Measurement Test you will be eliminated from further selection process. If you qualify Physical Measurement Test, you will be called for the Knowledge Test.

The HSSC Knowledge Test or another name for the CET consists of an objective multiple choice questions test with 100 question. The duration of the exam is 105 minutes with no sectional timing.
Please note that each correct question fetch you 0.945 marks and there is no negative marking in the exam. The HSSC Constable exam will have questions on General Studies, General Science, Current Affairs, General Reasoning, Mental Aptitude, Numerical ability, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, other relevant fields/trade etc. Also there will be at least 10 questions related to basic knowledge of computer and at least 20 questions about basic knowledge of Haryana. In the HSSC Constable Knowledge Test, the medium of examination shall be in both Hindi and English except for the English Language section.

HSSC Constable Educational Criteria
To apply for HSSC Constable exam 2024, you should possess a basic educational qualification required to appear for the exam. The candidate must have successfully completed 10th standard from a recognized education board or institution. In addition to having passed the 10th standard, the candidate must have studied Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subjects during their 10th grade education. This requirement indicates the importance of proficiency in either Hindi or Sanskrit for the HSSC exam. It's important to note that no extra weightage will be given to candidates based on their higher education qualifications. This means that having a higher degree or diploma will not provide any advantage in the selection process for the HSSC exam.
