SBI Clerk Exam Pattern 2020

 While you start the SBI Clerk application process, you should know all the details regarding the SBI Clerk exam pattern. SBI Clerk Exam 2020 is going to be conducted in two main phases:

  • Phase 1 - Preliminary Examination (online)
  • Phase 2 - Main Examination (online)

The Main Examination will further be followed by a Language proficiency test which will be a test of specified opted local language.

SBI Clerk Phase 1 Exam Pattern (Prelims) 2020

SBI Clerk exam for Prelims will be conducted online. The SBI Clerk Prelims exam consists of an objective test which have three sections i.e English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability worth 100 marks. All the sections in SBI Clerk Prelims exam are allotted separate marks and separate sectional timings. You cannot shift to another section until the timing of that particular section is exhausted. The total timing of the SBI Clerk Prelims exam is 1 hour.

  • There is a negative marking of 1/4th or 0.25 marks.
  • There are no minimum qualifying marks for each section or overall as stated by SBI.

SBI Clerk Phase 2 Exam Pattern (Mains) 2020

If you manage to clear the SBI Clerk Prelims exam you have to appear in the SBI Clerk Main Exam. After the SBI Clerk Prelims result, admit cards for the Mains will also be released. There is not much gap between the SBI Clerk Prelims and Mains exam, therefore you need to be in preparation mode since the start. The SBI Clerk Main Exam will also be an online test consisting of four sections. i.e. General / Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude which are allotted different marks and different sectional timings. The total time duration is going to be of 2 Hours 40 Minutes.

  • There will be a negative marking of 1/4th of the marks allotted to the question.
  • There will not be any sectional cut-off in the exam.

SBI Clerk Language Proficiency Test

  • If you qualify for selection and produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate, having studied the specified opted local language then you will not be subjected to any Language test.
  • In case of others (qualified for selection), specified opted local language test will be conducted after provisional selection which will be done before joining.
  • If it is found that you are not proficient in specified opted local language then you will be disqualified.

SBI Clerk 2020: Provisional Selection (Subject to qualifying specified opted local language).

Provisional selection will be done on the basis of the scores obtained by the candidates in the SBI Clerk Main Exam 2020. The final selection will be done once the eligibility is verified and all the information provided by you in the SBI Clerk application form is certified to be true.

SBI Clerk Reserved List

Along with the final selections, SBI will release a waiting (Reserved) list  State-category wise. This list will be valid for one year from the result declaration date. The appointment of the candidates in the wait list will be done if the appointed candidates resign in the middle of their term or do not join at all.

SBI CLERK EXAM MARKING SCHEME

There is a provision of negative marking in the SBI Clerk exam. For every wrong answer marked 1/4th of marks allotted to that question will be deducted. For SBI Clerk Mains exam marks allotted to each section varies, so if you wrongly marked any particular question 1/4th marks allotted to that question will be deducted. SBI Clerk Exam Language

In SBI Clerk 2020 exam all the questions in the objective tests is expected to be bilingual, i.e. they will be available both in Hindi and English except the test of English Language in both the phases. SBI Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2020

SBI Clerk Educational Criteria

To apply for the SBI Clerk 2020 ,  you need to be a graduate in any discipline from a recognised university or any equivalent qualification as recognised by the Central Government. For further details on educational qualification for SBI Clerk 2020 please look at the table below:

  • Candidates having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 01.01.2020.
  • Those who are in the final year/ semester of their graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if provisionally selected, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 01.01.2020.

SBI Clerk Age Criteria( As on 01.01.2020)

SBI has specified a certain age limit with respect to the SBI Clerk 2020. To appear in the SBI Clerk exam,  you should not be below 20 years and not above 28 years which means you must not be born before January 02, 1992 and not after  January 01, 2000. SBI Clerk Age Relaxation

SBI Clerk 2020: How to Apply Online

The SBI Clerk 2020 notification has been released and the application process of the same will remain open till January 26, 2020. To avoid missing the last date, you should start applying. The application process consists of few simple steps which can be easily followed to submit your application successfully.

  • In the first step, you need to visit the official website of SBI www.sbi.co.in
  • In the second step you are required to enter some basic details after which you will be registered and a provisional registration number and password is generated by the system which will be useful for further process.
  • In the third step, you need to upload your photograph and signature for which guidelines will be provided.
  • In the fourth step, you will be redirected to the application form where you will have to fill up all the personal information related to education, experience and others.
  • After the completion of the application form, you are now required to preview the application from and see if the information filled by you is correct.
  • After doing the preview you are now required to submit the application form. Please note that after the submission no change in the application form will be “Entertained”.
  • After the whole process gets completed, you will be required to submit the application fee which will be done through online mode.
  • Guidelines of uploading Photograph/ Signature:
    • The size of the photograph must be in between 20kb to 50kb.
    • The size of the signature needs to be in between 10kb to 20kb.

SBI Clerk Application Fee

As soon as you complete filling up all the details in the SBI clerk 2020 application form, the last step towards the completion of the application process is payment of application fee which will also be done in online mode. You will be given various online payment options to pay the requisite fee.  Once paid, the SBI Clerk fee will not be refunded. Without submitting the SBI Clerk application fee, the application will be considered incomplete.

SBI Clerk Pre-Exam Training Centres 2020

SBI also arranges the facility of pre-exam training at few of its centres for reserved categories. SBI Clerk Admit Card 2020

You will be required to download  your SBI Clerk call letter from the authorised website by entering your details i.e. Registration Number and Password/Date of Birth. No hard copy of the SBI Clerk call letter/ Information Handout etc. will be sent by post/ courier. You need to bring the print of the SBI Clerk admit card along with a copy of valid identity proof. The SBI Clerk admit cards will be released a few days before the exam. The SBI Clerk admit card for both phases will be released separately by SBI.

The Mains examination of SBI Clerk 2019 exam was held after the Prelims exam. Please note that there is no sectional cut off in the SBI Clerk Mains exam.
