    You must be 20 to 28 years old as on 01 April 2025 as per the SBI Clerk eligiblity criteria. You must be born between 02 April 1997 and 01 April 2005. You need a graduation degree by 31 December 2025.

    SC, ST, PwBD, XS and DXS candidates have no application fee. General, OBC and EWS pay ₹ 750. SBI Clerk application fee is not refundable.

    SBI Clerk Prelims has 100 marks. You get one hour to finish it. It has English, math and reasoning tests. SBI Clerk Main has 200 marks. You get 160 minutes to finish it. It has four parts with set time limits.

    SBI, one of the largest banks in the Indian banking sector, garners significant interest from a plethora of job seekers, irrespective of the desired role.     There is a 0.25 mark cut for each wrong answer. Only Main amarks count for the final list. Prelim marks do not count. After Main, there is a language test for those who have not studied the local language. Those who have a 10th or 12th mark sheet in that language need no test. 

    Call letters are on the SBI site about 10 days before each exam. You must download and print them. No hard copy will be sent. You must bring the call letter, two extra photos and an ID proof. 

    SC, ST, OBC, Ex-servicemen and PwBD can get free online pre-exam training. You must mark the option in the form. SBI will send training dates by email or SMS.

    The basic pay starts at Rs. 26,730 per month. In cities like Mumbai, total pay with allowances is near Rs. 46,000 per month. You join on probation for 6 months. You must finish e-lessons in that time. SBI will watch your work. If you do not do well, probation may be longer. 

    SBI will keep a wait list of up to 50% of seats. It is valid for one year. SBI will call from the wait list if people do not join.

    OBC candidates get 3 extra years. SC and ST candidates get 5 extra years. Persons with benchmark disabilities in General/EWS get 10 extra years; in OBC get 13; in SC/ST get 15. Ex-servicemen get their years of service plus 3 years (8 years if disabled), up to a maximum age of 50.

    Widows, divorced and judicially separated women get 7 extra years up to 35 for General/EWS, 38 for OBC, and 40 for SC/ST. Trained SBI apprentices get extra age: 1 year (Gen/EWS), 4 (OBC), 6 (SC/ST), 11 (PwBD Gen/EWS), 14 (PwBD OBC), and 16 (PwBD SC/ST) .
