SBI Clerk 2019 Notification

State Bank of India has finally released the 'SBI Clerk Recruitment Notification 2019'. SBI being one of the largest banks of India, attracts a major amount of job aspirants irrespective of the post. SBI has invited applications from the eligible candidates for the posts of Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales) in clerical cadre. SBI Clerk 2019 Exam Pattern

SBI has announced vacancies for the post of Junior Associates in clerical cadre and all the interested candidates should start applying for the same. While you start the application process, you should know all the details regarding the SBI Junior Associates exam pattern. SBI Junior Associates Examination will be conducted in two main phases:

  • Phase I - Preliminary Examination (online)
  • Phase II - Main Examination (online)

The Main Examination will further be followed by a Language proficiency test which will be a test of specified opted local language

SBI Clerk 2019 Phase I Exam Pattern (Prelims)

SBI will conduct an online preliminary exam in the Phase I of SBI Junior Associate Exam. The Preliminary Exam consists of an objective test with three sections: English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability worth 100 marks. All the sections are allotted separate marks and separate sectional timings. A candidate can not shift to another section until the timing of that particular section is exhausted. The total timing of the exam will be 1 hour.

  • There will also be a negative marking of 0.25 marks.
  • There are no minimum qualifying marks for each section or overall stated by SBI.

SBI Clerk 2019 Phase II Exam Pattern(Mains)

All the candidates who manage to clear the SBI Junior Associate Preliminary Exam will appear in the Phase II - Main Examination. The results of the Preliminary Exam are released soon after the exam and the admit cards will be released soon after that. There is not much gap between the Phase I and Phase II Exams, therefore you need to be in preparation mode since the start. The Main Examination will also be an online test consisting of four sections: General / Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude which are allotted different marks and different sectional timings. The total time duration will be 2 Hours 40 Minutes.

  • There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks.
  • There will not be any sectional cut-off in the exam.

SBI Clerk 2019 Mode of Exam

All the questions in the objective tests will be bilingual, i.e. they will be available both in Hindi and English except the test of English Language in both the phases. 

SBI Clerk 2019 Exam Language

  • All those candidates who qualify for selection and produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will not be subjected to any Language test.
  • In case of others (qualified for selection), specified opted local language test will be conducted after provisional selection which will be done before joining.
  • Candidates not found to be proficient in specified opted local language would be disqualified.

SBI Clerk 2019: Provisional Selection (Subject to qualifying specified opted local language).

Provisional selection will be done on the basis of the scores obtained by the candidates in the SBI Junior Associate Main Examination. The final selection will be done once the eligibility of the candidates is verified and all the information provided by the candidates in the application form is certified to be true.

 

SBI Clerk 2019 Waitlist

Along with the final selections, SBI will release a waiting list of up to 50% of vacancies (State-category wise). This list will be valid for one year from the result declaration date. The appointment of the candidates in the wait list will be done on the basis of the other candidates who resign in the middle of their term or do not join at all.

SBI Clerk 2019 Eligibility Criteria

SBI is one of the largest banking organizations and therefore it is aspired by many candidates who are seeking a stable job for themselves, especially in the banking sector. SBI Clerk Educational Qualification 2019

SBI mentions in its notification that to be eligible for applying for the SBI Junior Associate post, a candidate needs to be a graduate in any discipline from a recognised university or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government. As soon as you complete filling up all the details in the SBI Junior Associate (clerk) application form, the last step towards the completion of application process is payment of application fee which will also be done in online mode. You will be given online payment options from which you will have to choose one to pay the requisite fee. Once paid, the fees will not be refunded. Without submitting the application fee, the application will be considered incomplete.

A candidate will be required to download his/her call letter from the authorised website by entering his/ her details i.e. Registration Number and Password/Date of Birth. No hard copy of the call letter/ Information Handout etc. will be sent by post/ courier. You need to bring the print of admit card along with a copy of valid identity proof. The admit cards will be released few days before the examination.
