State Bank of India had released the SBI Clerk notification 2021 in April 2021. SBI, one of the largest banks in India, attracts a majority of job aspirants irrespective of the post. SBI invited applications from the young and eligible candidates for the posts of Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales) in the clerical cadre.

As the notification was out in April, you must have applied for it immediately in order to avoid a last-minute rush after going through complete details in the SBI Clerk  Notification 2021. There are a total of 5000 vacancies released. SBI Clerk Prelims results have been declared on September 21, 2021, along with the scorecards. The SBI Clerk Mains will be held on October 01 & Oct 17, 2021.

 

SBI Clerk Exam Pattern 2021

While you start the SBI Clerk preparation process, you should know all the details regarding the SBI Clerk exam pattern. SBI Clerk Exam 2021 is going to be conducted in two main phases.

  • Phase 1 - Preliminary Examination (online)
  • Phase 2 - Main Examination (online)

The Main Examination will further be followed by a Language proficiency test which will be a test of specified opted local language.

SBI Clerk (Prelims) Exam Pattern  2021

SBI Clerk exam 2021 for Prelims will be conducted online. The SBI Clerk Prelims exam consists of an objective test that has three sections i.e English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability worth 100 marks. All the sections in SBI Clerk Prelims exam are allotted separate marks and separate sectional timings. You cannot shift to another section until the timing of that particular section is exhausted. The total timing of the SBI Clerk Prelims exam is 1 hour.

  • There is a negative marking of 1/4th or 0.25 marks.
  • This time there is no sectional Cut off.

SBI Clerk (Mains) Exam Pattern  2021

If you manage to clear the SBI Clerk Prelims exam you have to appear in the SBI Clerk Main Exam. After the SBI Clerk Prelims result, admit cards for the Mains will also be released. There will not be much gap between the SBI Clerk Prelims and Mains exam, therefore you need to be in preparation mode since the start. The SBI Clerk Main Exam will also be an online test consisting of four sections. i.e. General / Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude which are allotted different marks and different sectional timings. The total time duration is going to be of 2 Hours 40 Minutes.

  • There will be a negative marking of 1/4th of the marks allotted to the question.
  • There will not be any sectional cut-off in the exam.

SBI Clerk Language Proficiency Test

  • If you qualify the selection and produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate, having studied the specified opted local language then you will not be subjected to any Language test
  • In case of others (qualified for selection), specified opted local language test will be conducted after provisional selection which will be done before joining
  • If it is found that you are not proficient in specified opted local language then you will be disqualified

SBI Clerk 2021: Provisional Selection (Subject to qualifying specified opted local language).

Provisional selection will be done on the basis of the scores obtained by the candidates in the SBI Clerk Main Exam 2021. The final selection will be done once the eligibility is verified and all the information provided by you in the SBI Clerk application form is certified to be true.

SBI Clerk Reserved List

Along with the final selections, SBI will release awaiting (Reserved) list  State-category wise. This list will be valid for one year from the result declaration date. The appointment of the candidates in the waitlist will be done if the appointed candidates resign in the middle of their term or do not join at all.

SBI Clerk Vacancy 2021

SBI Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2021

SBI is one of the largest banking organizations and therefore it is aspired by many candidates who are seeking a stable job for themselves, especially in the banking sector. You need to follow the SBI Clerk eligibility criteria, failing which your candidature will be canceled. There is a new update from SBI this time, if you have resigned from SBI earlier as Clerk/Officer, you are not eligible to apply. Please note that if you have a record of default in repayment of loans/ credit card dues and/ or against whose name adverse report of CIBIL or other agencies is available, you will not be appointed even if you are selected. Given below are the detailed SBI Clerk eligibility criteria that must be fulfilled before applying for the SBI Clerk exam.

SBI Clerk Educational Criteria (As per August 16, 2021)

Before applying for the SBI Clerk 2021,  ensure that you are a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification as recognized by the Central Government.  For further details on educational qualification for SBI Clerk 2021 please look at the table below.

  • Candidates having an integrated dual degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before August 16, 2021
  • Those who are in the final year/ semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if provisionally selected, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before August 16, 2021.

SBI Clerk Age Criteria (As per April 01, 2021)

SBI has specified a certain age limit for the SBI Clerk 2021. To appear in the SBI Clerk exam, you should not be below 20 years and not above 28 years i.e. you must have been born not earlier than April 02, 1993, and not later than April 01, 2001. No. of attempts in SBI Clerk: There is no minimum/ maximum number of attempts in SBI Clerk, you can apply for the exam till the time you attain the maximum age limit i.e. 28 years.

SBI is considered to be one of the best recruiters in the banking industry, as it provides a decent amount of salary along with other benefits to its employees and rewards their work to the best of their capability. SBI Clerk Exam Language

In the SBI Clerk exam 2021  all the questions in the objective tests will be bilingual, i.e. they will be available both in Hindi and English except the test of English Language in both the phases. You can attempt the question in any language preferred. You can also switch any particular question anytime in order to watch it in the language you prefer.

SBI Clerk 2021: How to Apply Online

The SBI Clerk 2021 application process was open from April 27, 2021, to May 17, 2021.  The application process consisted of a few simple steps which could be easily followed to submit your application successfully.

  • In the first step, you need to visit the official website of SBI www.sbi.co.in 
  • In the second step, you are required to enter some basic details after which you will be registered and a provisional registration number and password is generated by the system which will be useful for further process
  • In the third step, you need to upload your photograph and signature for which the guidelines will be provided
  • In the fourth step, you will be redirected to the application form where you will have to fill up all the personal information related to education, experience and others
  • After the completion of the application form, you are now required to preview the application and see if the information filled by you is correct
  • After doing the preview you are now required to submit the application form. Please note that after the submission no change in the application form will be “Entertained”.
  • After the whole process gets completed, you will be required to submit the application fee which will be done through online mode
  • Guidelines of uploading Photograph/ Signature:
    • The size of the photograph must be between 20KB and 50KB.
    • The size of the signature needs to be between 10KB and 20KB.
    • The size of the Handwritten declaration must be between 50KB and 100KB.
    • The size of the left-hand thumb impression needs to be between 20KB and 50KB.

SBI Clerk Application Fee

As soon as you complete filling up all the details in the SBI clerk 2021 application form, the last step towards the completion of the application process is the payment of the application fee which will also be done through online mode. You will be given various online payment options to pay the requisite fee.  Once paid, the SBI Clerk fee will not be refunded. Without submitting the SBI Clerk application fee, the application will be considered incomplete.

SBI Clerk Exam Centres

In the admit card of the SBI Clerk, the exam center will be mentioned with a specific address. The choice of the exam centre will be asked to you at the time of filling in the SBI Clerk application form. SBI Clerk Admit Card 2021

You are required to download your SBI Clerk call letters from the authorized website by entering your details i.e. Registration Number and Password/Date of Birth. No hard copy of the SBI Clerk call letter/ Information Handout will be sent by post/ courier. You need to bring the print of the SBI Clerk Admit card along with a copy of valid identity proof. The SBI Clerk admit card will be released a few days before the exam. The SBI Clerk admit card for both phases will be released separately by the SBI.

Update: Your Prelims exam admit card will not be collected at the time of the Prelims exam as it used to be earlier, however, it will be duly stamped by the exam centre staff. You have to bring this prelims exam admit card with you at the time of the SBI Clerk Mains exam.

Also, you have to paste the photograph in the call letter and need to bring 2 additional photographs to the examination venue. You will not be allowed in the examination centre in case you fail to do the above.
