SBI is one of the largest banking organizations and therefore it is aspired by many candidates who are seeking a stable job for themselves, especially in the banking sector. You need to follow the SBI Clerk eligibility criteria, failing which your candidature will be canceled. There is a new update from SBI this time, if you have resigned from SBI earlier as Clerk/Officer, you are not eligible to apply. Please note that if you have a record of default in repayment of loans/ credit card dues and/ or against whose name adverse report of CIBIL or other agencies is available, will not be appointed in case of selection. Given below are the detailed SBI Clerk eligibility criteria that must be fulfilled before applying for the SBI Clerk exam.

SBI Clerk Educational Criteria (As per August 16, 2021)

Before applying for the SBI Clerk 2021,  ensure that you are a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification as recognized by the Central Government.  For further details on educational qualification for SBI Clerk 2021 please look at the table below.

  • Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by Central Government.
  • Candidates having an integrated dual degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before August 16, 2021
  • Those who are in the final year/ semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if provisionally selected, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before August 16, 2021.

SBI Clerk Age Criteria (As per April 01, 2021)

SBI has specified a certain age limit for the SBI Clerk 2021. To appear in the SBI Clerk exam, you should not be below 20 years and not above 28 years i.e. you must have been born not earlier than April 02, 1993, and not later than April 01, 2001. For further details on this please refer to the below table.

No. of attempts in SBI Clerk: There is no minimum/ maximum number of attempts in SBI Clerk, you can apply for the exam till the time you attain the maximum age limit i.e. 28 years.

SBI Clerk Age Relaxation

You need to follow the above-mentioned age criteria, except if you belong to any of the reserved categories. If you belong to these categories you will be eligible for relaxation in age. The details of age relaxation are mentioned in the table below.

SBI Clerk Pre-Exam Training Centres 2021

SBI also arranges the facility of pre-exam training at a few of its centres for reserved categories. SBI will release a list of centres where the pre-exam training for reserved candidates will take place to make them aware of the SBI Clerk exam pattern and question level. Please note that no hard copy of the admit card for pre-exam training will be provided. You have to download the admit card from the website itself.
