SBI Clerk 2019 Eligibility

SBI has invited applications from the eligible candidates for the post of Clerk (Junior Associate). To be eligible for the post, SBI specifies a certain eligibility criteria which has to be followed by all the candidates. The eligibility criteria includes - Educational Qualification, Age limit and No.of chances for SBI Clerk 2019. The details are given below:

Educational Qualification

  • The academic qualifications of any candidate will be considered as on 01.01.2019
  • A candidate needs to have Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government. Candidates having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 01.01.2019.


Educational Criteria

SBI Junior Associates (Clerk)

Graduate in any subject from a government recognized institute and colleges.

Note :
(a) The date of passing eligibility examination will be the date appearing on the mark sheet/certificate or provisional certificate issued by the University/Institute. In case the result of a particular examination is posted on the website of the University/ Institute, a certificate issued by the appropriate authority of the University/Institute indicating the date on which the result was posted on the website will be taken as the date of passing.
(b) Matriculate Ex-servicemen, who have obtained the Indian Army Special Certificate of Education or corresponding certificate in the Navy or Air Force, after having completed not less than 15 years of service in Armed Forces of the Union are also eligible for the post. Such certificates should be dated on or before 01.01.2018.

SBI Clerk 2019 Age Limit 

SBI specifies a particular age limit for all the candidates in order to be eligible for the post. If you do not come under the prescribed age limit, you will not be eligible enough to apply for the SBI Clerk examination. The minimum and maximum age will be considered as on 01.04.2019. A candidate must not have been born earlier than 02.04.1991 and not later than 01.04.1999.

Minimum age: 20 years

Maximum age: 28 years

Relaxation of Upper age limit:

SBI also provides a relaxation in age limit for certain categories. The relaxation in age is applicable differently according to the different categories, as given below:

7 years (subject to maximum age limit of 35 years for General,38 years for OBC & 40 years for SC/ST candidates)


NOTE (i) Candidates seeking age relaxation are required to submit copies of necessary certificate(s) at the time of joining, if qualified. No change in the category of any candidate is permmitted after registration of online application. No correspondence/ email/phone will be entertained in this regard.
