    SBI Clerk Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualifications 

    You need a graduation degree in any subject from a recognized university by 31 December 2025. Final-year students may apply provisionally but must pass by that date.

    SBI Junior Associates (Clerk)
    • Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by Central Government. Candidates having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 31.12.2024.
    • Those who are in the final year/ semester of their graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if provisionally selected, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 31.12.2024.

    Please Note: 

    According to the SBI Clerk eligibility criteria, the Matriculate Ex-servicemen meeting the criterion of completing a minimum of 15 years of service in the Armed Forces of the Union and holding the Indian Army Special Certificate of Education or equivalent certificates from the Navy or Air Force are also eligible for the post. 

    These certificates must be dated on or before December 31, 2025.

    SBI Clerk Eligibility Criteria: Age Limit  

    • You must be at least 20 years old as on 01 April 2025.
    • You must be no more than 28 years old as on 01 April 2025.
    • You must have been born on or after 02 April 1997 and on or before 01 April 2005 (both days inclusive).

    • Minimum Age: 20 years
    • Maximum Age: 28 years ( as on 01.04.2024, i.e. candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.04.1996 and not later than 01.04.2004 (both days inclusive)).
     

    Age Relaxation 

    OBC candidates get 3 years of age relaxation. SC and ST candidates get 5 years of age relaxation. Persons with benchmark disabilities in General/EWS get 10 years of age relaxation.

    Persons with benchmark disabilities in OBC get 13 years of age relaxation. Persons with benchmark disabilities in SC/ST get 15 years of age relaxation. 

    Ex-Servicemen get age relaxation equal to their years of service plus 3 years. Disabled Ex-Servicemen of SC/ST get age relaxation equal to their years of service plus 8 years, up to a maximum age of 50 years. 

    Widows, divorced women, and women judicially separated from their husbands get 7 years of age relaxation. For them, the maximum age limit is 35 years for General/EWS, 38 years for OBC, and 40 years for SC/ST. 

    Trained SBI apprentices get 1 year of age relaxation in General/EWS, 4 years in OBC, 6 years in SC/ST, 11 years in PwBD General/EWS, 14 years in PwBD OBC, and 16 years in PwBD SC/ST.

    For candidates seeking age relaxation, the submission of an essential certificate(s) during the joining process is mandatory, subject to qualification. Any alteration in an applicant's category after the online application registration is not permissible.

    Reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) 

    In accordance with Section 34 of the "Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act (RWPD), 2016", as per the SBI Clerk eligibility criteria, a 4% horizontal reservation is mandated for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).
