CLAT or The Common Law Admission Test is a national level entrance exam for admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes that is being offered by 22 National Law Universities. The CLAT exam is organized by the Consortium of National Law Universities every year to induct eligible candidates to various law colleges all over India. The CLAT scores are also accepted by various private, aided and semi-aided universities for admissions in their law courses.  The CLAT exam 2024 application has started from January 1, 2022 and will end on May 9, 2022. Notification 2024

CLAT 2024 notification is out and the online application window is active from January 1 2024 and will remain open till May 9, 2024.The CLAT 2024 notification has all the relevant details about the exam such as exam dates, eligibility, exam pattern, online application procedure and more. The consortium of National Law Universities is the conducting authority for the CLAT exam 2024. Also as per your category, you are liable to pay the CLAT application fee through any of the online mode. CLAT application fee 2024 will not be refunded at any cost. Exam Pattern 2024

If you are preparing for the CLAT 2024 exam, knowing the CLAT exam pattern becomes important. It is essential to gain absolute clarity regarding CLAT exam pattern 2024 to ensure efficient preparation. The CLAT exam will be offline and will have 5 sections - English Language, Current Affairs, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Techniques. Besides this, any wrong answer attempted by you will attract a negative marking of 0.25 marks assigned to that question in the CLAT 2024.

Exam Dates 2024

Knowing the CLAT exam dates is important so that you do not miss out on any information. The CLAT 2024 application link has been active from January 1, 2022 and will remain open till May 9, 2022. The CLAT exam 2024 is scheduled to be held on June 19, 2022. Besides this, you need to select an exam centre for CLAT 2024 exam and this cannot be changed once the final application form has been submitted. However, the Consortium reserves the right to cancel any allotted test centre in case of unforeseen incidents.

Eligibility Criteria 2024

For applying to the CLAT exam 2024, you need to fulfil the eligibility criteria at two stages. The CLAT 2024 eligibility includes details about the age and educational qualification. Before applying online for the CLAT exam, ensure that you fulfil all eligibility criteria so that your candidature is not cancelled at a later stage of the exam process.

Exam Selection and Admission Process 2024

The CLAT exam 2024 selection process is a three stage procedure-

  • CLAT online exam
  • Counselling
  • Merit List

Once the CLAT exam result is out you will be called for the counselling round. Here you will be granted a seat in the preference order of the National Law Universities that you have filled while applying online for CLAT 2024. Also, your counselling for the preferred Law College will be based on seat availability and merit list. Various CLAT seat allotment lists will be published on the official website. Once you have completed the registration and submitted the counselling fee you will be considered for CLAT seat allotment.
