The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection also known as IBPS is a self-governing recruitment body that recruits young graduates who want to work in Public Sector Banks and Regional Rural Banks. IBPS is the sole conducting body for CWE ie Common Written Examination to hire skilled graduates for the posts of Officers and Clerks in Indian Banks. Any candidate who aspires to work in Public Sector Banks and Regional Rural Banks has to qualify for the online test conducted by IBPS followed by an Interview Process in some exams. IBPS RRB Clerk 2021 Exam is one of the highly anticipated exams for the students who are preparing for bank exams. IBPS being a highly reliable organization conducts an online exam for almost every bank exam including RBI.

The official notification for IBPS RRB CRP X for Office Assistant (Multipurpose) has been released. The Prelims is scheduled on August 1st, 7th, 8th, 14th and 21st, 2021. However, it has been put on hold by the Ministry of finance. In order to discuss the demand coming from students of the south (to include other recognized regional languages as well), a committee has been constituted to look into the matter in its entirety. In the latest notification, the RRB exam will be bilingual i.e. you can attempt the exam in either Hindi or English. There are 22 recognized languages in India. The committee will come with the result in 15 days.

Exam Pattern 2021

It is very important to look at the IBPS RRB Group 'B' Office Assistant exam pattern before starting the preparation. This way you will understand the weightage of each section along with the relevance of the section. The exam is held in two phases followed by the ‘Document Verification’ and ‘Language Test’. There is a difference between the pattern of both Prelims and Mains. 

The RRB Clerk exam 2021 will be conducted in two phases followed by document verification.

Prelims Exam Pattern

The first phase of the IBPS RRB Clerk exam is the Preliminary exam. The Prelims 2021 exam will be conducted online. It is a 45 minutes examination in which 80 questions are asked. Subjects involved in it are- Numerical Ability and Reasoning. Exam pattern of IBPS RRB Group 'B' Office Assistant is as follows:

Mains Exam Pattern

If you clear the first phase of the examination, you will be called for the second phase of the examination i.e. IBPS RRB Group 'B' Office Assistant Main 2021 exam which is also conducted online. The Mains exam will be a two-hour exam and the subjects involved in it are Numerical Ability, Reasoning, General Awareness, English/ Hindi and Computer Knowledge. The Mains exam pattern 2021 is shown below:

Syllabus 2021

You must go through the whole syllabus once, before starting the preparation for the RRB Clerk 2021 exam. This way you will be able to articulate the difficulty level of the exam and can prepare accordingly. Although the IBPS RRB Clerk syllabus is based on matriculation level, through the years IBPS is constantly increasing the difficulty level of the exam due to the increasing number of candidates and competition. The Preliminary and Mains examination syllabus of Quantitative and Reasoning is the same but the difficulty level of the Mains examination is higher. Prelims Syllabus

The RRB Clerk prelims mainly contains two sections namely: Numerical Ability and Reasoning. The syllabus of both the sections will be the same for the mains but the difference will lie in the difficulty level of the exam. In Numerical Ability, chapters like time and work, time, speed and distance, and percentages will help you in clearing the exam as these chapters hold a good weightage whereas in the English Language section a sound knowledge of English language will do the work. In logical reasoning also chapters like directions test, sitting arrangement holds a good weightage in the exam. The complete syllabus for the IBPS RRB Clerk Prelims is given in the table below:

Exam Dates 2021

The official notification for IBPS RRB CRP-X has been released. As also mentioned earlier, the exam of IBPS RRB Group 'B' Office Assistant 2021 Prelims will be conducted in the month of August and Mains in October. Marking Scheme

IBPS follows certain criteria for marks allocation and deduction for the IBPS RRB Group 'B' Office Assistant exam. This particular marking scheme actually defines the difficulty level of the exam. Every incorrect answer would cost 1/4th or 0.25 marks of the original marks allotted to the particular question. In IBPS RRB Clerk Main exam, the Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning section has different questions possessing different marks and this goes for the Computer section also. There will not be any deduction for an unattempted question.

Please note that the Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning section of the RRB Clerk Main exam consists of different marks based on the difficulty level of the question. Also, each question of the Computer consists of 0.5 marks, and 1/4th marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

In IBPS RRB Group 'B' Office Assistant Exam, the Preliminary and Mains exam can be attempted in English/ Hindi along with the regional language option. Eligibility Criteria 2021 

As the official notification for IBPS RRB CRP-X has been released, this is one of the most important aspects to look into the IBPS RRB Clerk exam. You are advised to go through the complete notification properly to avoid any kind of misunderstanding and disqualification from the examination. The RRB Office Assistant 2021 eligibility criteria is as follows:

Educational Criteria

To be able to apply for the IBPS RRB Office Assistant 2021 exam you must: (a) Hold a graduation degree from any recognized university (b) Proficiency in the language of the area you are applying for.

*Proficiency in local language – For recruitment of Office Assistant (Multipurpose), proficiency in local language as specified below shall be an essential qualification:-

  • Candidates who have already studied the language of the State in standard VIII or any level above standard VIII in Government recognized Boards of Education/ School or having any certificate to the effect for standard VIII or any level above standard VIII would be considered proficient in that local language.
  • Where the candidate does not meet the aforesaid requirement in local language at the time of selection, he will be given a time of six months from the date of joining to acquire the proficiency. This period can be extended by the Boards of RRBs within the framework of the rules and provided that such extension should not be beyond the probation period.

Age Criteria (As on June 01, 2021)

The age criteria is also a must to apply for RRB Clerk exam. You are required to be in between 18 and 28 years as per the official notification i.e.You should not have born earlier than the date prescribed in the official notification.

Age Relaxation

How To Apply Online

The aplication process is a significant part of a selection procedure. Ensuring an error-free application is something that all candidates should be keeping in mind. Before you go on with the online application for RRB Group 'B' Office Assistant , there are few important points to be noted. Given below is the simple procedure for online application of IBPS RRB Clerk.

  • To apply for the IBPS RRB Clerk 2021, you need to visit the official website www.ibps.in.
  • After entering the official website of IBPS, click on the "CLICK HERE FOR REGISTRATION" tab provided on the top right corner of the page.
  • You will be redirected to the first page of the application form where you will be required to fill in all the basic details and click on the Save & Next button to move forward.
  • You will now be redirected to the second page of the form where you will be asked to upload your scanned passport size photograph and signature based on the specification mentioned therein and click on the Next button.
  • After you move on to the next page, you will have to fill in your personal details including your educational qualifications.
  • The next step would be filling the exam centres preference list. You will be required to fill in 4 centres. Click on 'Save & Next'.
  • After you are finished with entering the details, you can see a preview of your,, so that you can edit and correct if you find any error is shown. Once the application is submitted, no changes can be done after that.
  • Now, you have to choose a preferable online payment method to submit the application fee for IBPS RRB Clerk. You can pay the fees through any method among these i.e. credit card/debit card / net banking etc.
  • You have to click on the 'Submit' button to complete the application.

Guidelines for Uploading the Photograph

  • The photograph dimensions must be 4.5 cm * 3.5 cm.
  • The photograph must be clear and of passport size.
  • The size of the photograph must be in between 20Kb - 50 Kb.

Guidelines for Uploading the Signature

  • The signature of the applicant must be clear and legible.
  • The signature should only be done with either blue or black ink.
  • The size should be between 10Kb-20 Kb.

Admit Card 2021

IBPS RRB Group 'B' Office Assistant admit card will be released soon after the application process ends. The admit card will indicate the date, time and venue of the exam for both the Prelims and Mains. After the RRB Clerk admit card is released, you have to take a print of the admit card along with the photocopy of the identity proof such as ( Voter ID, Adhar card, PAN card etc.). If you fail to get either of this you will not be allowed to appear in the examination.

The admit card/call letter of the Preliminary examination will not be collected at the venue of exam. It will be verified and stamped by the centre staff along with the identity proof. The candidates will have to keep their copy of stamped admit card and identity proof with them for future reference.
