RBI Grade B Prelims Exam Pattern 2021 consists of four sections- English Language, Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness. You will be given a total of 120 minutes to solve the exam. RBI Grade B Prelims exam will have a sectional time limit also that will be informed later by RBI. RBI Grade B Phase 2 (DR- General) Exam Pattern (As per the Information Handout 2021)
As per the RBI Handout, there will be a total of 2 shifts i.e. Morning Shift and Afternoon Shift, in which the papers are going to be conducted. Paper 1 and Paper 2 are scheduled for the afternoon shift whereas Paper 3 will be organized in the morning shift.
For Paper 1 (ESI) and Paper 3 (FM) Descriptive Type Paper, the word limit prescribed is as follows
- 600 words for 15 marks questions.
- 400 words for 10 marks questions.

Paper 2 will be in the English Language. This paper will be descriptive type in which you have to type answers through the keyboard. The number of questions asked will be three and a total of 90 minutes will be allotted to answer these questions. The paper is 100 marks.

RBI Grade B Phase 2 (Paper 3) will be of Finance Management. In this paper, you need to answer 60 Objective MCQs and 4 out of 6 descriptive-type questions. You will get 120 minutes to answer these questions. Please note that you need to type your answers with the help of a keyboard. No pen or paper will be provided for that. Eligibility Criteria
A candidate should be between 21 and 30 years of age to be eligible for RBI Grade B exam. There are age relaxations based on whether you belong to a SC/ST, OBC or a person with disability category.
Application Form and Fees
The steps of filling in the application form are as follows.
- Visit the RBI’s application portal and apply on online link
- Register yourself for the first time on the portal.
- Then provide basic information about yourself such as Name, Age, Contact Particulars such as Phone, Address and Email ID.
- A photograph & your signature should be uploaded, as per specifications provided therein.
- Provide your educational qualification information and then save & preview your application form for any errors.
- Payment of the fees (which is Rs. 850 or Rs. 100 depending on your category) can be made through Credit / Debit Card or Netbanking.
- Once the form is submitted, you will receive an email with your login credentials.
- Guidelines for uploading the picture and signature are as follows.
- Picture Image dimensions: 200X230 pixels File Type: JPG or JPEG File size: not more than 50KB
- Signature Image dimensions: 140X60 pixels File Type: JPG or JPEG File size: not more than 20KB
After filling in the application form the portal will direct you to application fees page. Upon successful completion of the transaction an e-receipt is generated. You are required to take a print out of this receipt. Once the candidate is successfully registered, a registration number and password are generated which should be duly noted down. RBI Grade B Admit Card 2021
The admit card contains the examination center, centre address, date, and time of the RBI Grade B exam and will be available on the RBI website. The candidate can download the Phase 2 admit card by using the registration number and password provided during the time of registration. No hardcopy of the call letter will be mailed to the candidate.
Instructions for Candidates appearing for Phase 2 Exam (COVID-19)
- Mask (Please note that Wearing a mask is mandatory)
- Gloves
- Personal transparent water bottle (You should bring your own water bottle)
- Personal hand sanitizer (50 ml)
- A simple pen
- In case of Scribe Candidates - Scribe form duly filled and signed with Photograph affixed.
- You must have the Aarogya Setu App installed on your phone that indicates your COVID-19 risk factor. You will have to show your COVID-19 risk status to the Security Guard at the entrance of the exam venue.
- In case you do not have a smartphone, you will have to bring in a signed declaration to this effect (self-declaration format is provided along with the e-Call Letter).
