RRB Group D 2020 Highlights
Indian Railways is known to be one of the most prestigious organizations in our country and is managed by the Ministry of Railways. It is a dream of many aspirants to be able to become a part of this organization. Indian railways have a recruitment body i.e. Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) which manages all the recruitment processes for various posts under Indian Railways. In March 2019, RRB has released the recruitment of various posts of Level 1 of 7th CPC pay Matrix under recruitment of Railways Recruitment Group D posts. The various posts consist of Track Maintainer Grade IV, Assistant Bridge, Assistant Points Man, technical departments (Electrical, Mechanical) and Level 1 post of Indian Railways, etc.

RRB Group D Notification 2019 - 2020
Railway Recruitment Board is one of the largest recruitment bodies in India which manages the largest number of recruitments for Indian Railways. Railway Recruitment Board has released its official notification for various posts under Railways Recruitment (RRC-01)Group D posts. You are advised to go through the official notification thoroughly in order to have a clear understanding of the exam. The application date to apply for the job has been exhausted and could be done through online mode only as no other mode of filling the application is available.
RRB Group D Syllabus 2020
It is very important to be fully aware of the Railways Recruitment Group D syllabus before starting the preparation for the examination. The syllabus consists mainly of four sections namely General Awareness, Mathematics, General Science and General Intelligence and Reasoning. Topics like Number system, time and distance, LCM, HCF, percentages are included in the mathematics section whereas topics like coding-decoding, Number series, etc are a part of General Intelligence and Reasoning. For General Science, you need to have a sound knowledge of science including Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Along with static awareness of (History, Geography and Polity), you should also be aware of the current happenings in the world because it is included in the general awareness section itself. RRB Group D Exam Pattern 2020
The selection process of Railways Recruitment Group D Exam consists of three phases and those are:
- Written examination (CBT)
- Physical efficiency test.
- Document verification and Medical examination.
RRB Group D Written Examination (CBT)
Before you start preparing for the examination, you are advised to look at the examination pattern in order to have a clear understanding about the Railways Recruitment RRC-01/Group D examination pattern. The rrb exam 2020 examination consists of a Computer Based Test (CBT). The sections that are included in the exam are General Awareness, Mathematics, General English, and General Intelligence and reasoning. Each question consists of 1 mark. A total of 90 minutes (1hour and 30 minutes) will be allotted in the exam and the total number of questions will be of 100. There shall be negative marking in the exam. 1/3rd of the marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
RRB Group D Physical Efficiency Test
If you will qualify the written examination (CBT) of Railways Recruitment Group D2020 exam, you will be called out for Physical Efficiency Test. Please note that you will be called for PET on the merit. The number of candidates that will be called for PET will be three times of the total number of vacancies category wise. However, the RRB has the right to increase or decrease the ratio. There will be a different task assigned to males and females separately which they have to finish on time.

RRB Group D Eligibility Criteria 2020
You must ensure your eligibility before filling the application form of Railways Recruitment Group D 2020 Exam. There are certain eligibility criteria required by the Railways Recruitment Board failing in which leads to cancellation of your candidature. There are some eligibility requirements demanded by the Railway Recruitment Board such as Age criteria, Nationality, Educational Criteria, Physical efficiency test and medical standard test which you need to fulfill, only then he/she will be eligible for the desired post.
RRB Group D Educational Criteria
There are different educational qualifications for various posts released by Railways Recruitment Board. You have to be 10th pass or ITI from institutions recognized by NCVT/SCVT or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by Government. This educational qualification is for different posts that come under the railways recruitment board such as Assistant pointsman, Assistant Bridge, Track maintainer Grade IV, Hospital attendant, Assistant (Signal and Telecom) along with various other posts. RRB Group D Medical Standard
You will be called for Document verification, Physical efficiency test and medical test after qualifying the written examination (CBT). You are advised to ensure your eligibility for the post you opted for. Failing in the medical standard for the opted post shall not be given any alternative appointment. Therefore, it is advised to be very careful while filling out the application for the desired post. The medical test will take place to ensure that the candidates are fit to carry out the duties needed for the opted post in the Railways Recruitment Group D exam. RRB Group D 2020: How to Apply Online
To apply for the post of Level-01 under RRB Group D 2020, You first need to check the required eligibility for the desired post. There are certain steps that need to be followed in order to fill the application form. It is advised to keep important documents like 10th certificate, ID proof, scanned photographs, and other important documents with them while filling out the application form. Here we are proving the step by step process to apply for the post:
- Candidates are required to go to the official link to apply for the post.
- Select the railway you wish to apply for. (railway once selected cannot be changed).
- Now click on the “New Registration” link.
- Enter all the required details like DOB, mothers name, Mobile Number, Email id, Aadhar card number along with other details.
- Review the whole application before clicking the submit button.
- To verify the mobile number an OTP will be generated. Please ensure that you have entered the correct mobile number and email id as it will be used for the further communication process.
- A candidate has to upload the photograph and signature also here are the guidelines for uploading the photograph and signature:
- For Photograph: JPEG image of 20kb to 50kb.
- For signature: JPEG image of 10kb to 40kb.
- A registration number will be generated which should be preserves for father process.
- Login again by going to “Already registered” button.
- Now in Part 2 of the process a candidate needs to prefer the post he/she wish to apply for.
- After completion of the part 2 registration. Click on the submit and pay the application fees.
RRB Group D 2020 Exam Application Fee
After complete submission of the application form, it is now time to pay the application fees wherever required. Without the application fee, your candidature is incomplete. There are two modes of payment for application fees. There is a relaxation given to certain candidates from paying the fees.
