Exam Language
The exam is bilingual in nature. It means that the Railways Recruitment Group D exam can be attempted in either of the languages i.e. Hindi or English.
Normalization of Marks
Shortlisting in the online written exam will be based on the normalized marks obtained by the candidates as CBT will be conducted in multiple sessions for the same syllabus. The normalization scheme to be adopted for shortlisting the candidates from CBT to PET (as applicable) and for document verification is detailed below.
Calculation of Normalized Marks for Multi-Session Papers
As the RRB Group D exam may have to be conducted in multiple sessions (due to a large number of applicants), a suitable normalization is applied to take into account any variation in the difficulty levels of the question papers across different sessions. A standard formula for calculating the normalized marks for the multi-session papers will be followed, as given below
Please note that Railway Administration reserves the right to modify the formula/adopt different formula based on technical considerations.
