Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) is an Indian state-owned insurance group and investment company headquartered in Mumbai. LIC releases vacancies for the post of AAO almost every year to recruit eligible candidates. LIC AAO/AE Exam Pattern 2021
LIC AAO (Assistant Administrative Officer) notification 2021 for various posts has been released. LIC provides great opportunities for career growth and thus the examination for LIC AAO cannot be taken lightly. LIC AAO/AE Prelims Exam Pattern 2021
The LIC AAO Prelims exam 2021 will be an online test consisting of three sections - English Language, Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude respectively, not in any fixed order. All three sections in the LIC AAO Prelims exam are allotted separate sectional timings. The LIC AAO Prelims exam is common for all the posts (Legal/IT/Chartered Accountant/Actuarial/Rajbhasha)

- There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer. It means that for one incorrect answer, one-fourth of the marks allotted to that question will be deducted.

LIC AAO/AE Mains Exam Pattern 2021
Once the LIC AAO Prelims examination is over, the candidates who are able to qualify it will have to appear in the LIC AAO Mains examination. The LIC AAO Mains Exam will be held once the result of Phase 1 is out. The LIC AAO Mains exam pattern for all types of posts is mostly similar except for a few changes in the number of subjects. Apart from this objective test, the LIC AAO Mains Exam pattern will also consist of a ‘Descriptive Test’ of 30 minutes duration which tests the English writing skills of the candidate. LIC AAO/AE Personal Interview 2021
The candidates who are able to qualify for the LIC AAO 2021 Mains Examination will be called for the LIC AAO Phase 3, i.e. Personal Interview (PI), where they will have to face an interview board where they can be asked questions from any subject/area. A candidate should be ready to face any type of question in the LIC AAO Interview.

LIC AAO/AE Salary 2021
A LIC Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO) is entitled to receive a basic pay of Rs. 32795/- per month on the scale of Rs. 32795- 1610(14) –55335– 1745(4) –62315 and other admissible allowances as per rules. An AAO is eligible for certain emoluments also, inclusive of House Rent Allowance (HRA) & City Compensatory Allowance (CCA) wherever admissible depending upon the classification of the city, which will amount to approximately Rs 57,000/- per month in ‘A’ Class city. Other benefits are Defined Contributory Pension, Special Allowance for passing Actuarial Examination, Gratuity, LTC, Cash Medical Benefit, Group Mediclaim, Group Personal Accident Insurance, Group Insurance, Vehicle Loan (2-wheeler/4 wheeler) as per rules, meal coupon, reimbursement towards the cost of Briefcase leather bags, mobile handset, the supply of dailies and magazines and tea/coffee, mobile expenses, etc. as per rules.

LIC AAO/AE Job Profile
Once you qualify all the stages of the LIC AAO/AE Exams and get selected as an Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO), Assistant Engineers (AE), you would be given a department/branch according to your category of post. You will be heading/managing that particular department. LIC AAO is mainly an administrative job, as the title of the post suggests. We can put the job responsibilities of an AAO in few steps as follows:
- Negotiations will have to be done with the Agents/ Development Officers.
- Client interaction and inspection of the claims made by them.
- Processing of the policy applications.
- Coordination with other departments.
- Maintaining the databases.
- Inspecting the policies that already exist.
Once you gain experience of 3-5 years, you will be eligible to get promoted to the post of ‘Administrative Officer’ (AO), which will be an enhanced version of the Assistant Administrative Officer job. Both being administrative jobs, a LIC AO will be an advanced form of the LIC AAO.

LIC AAO/AE Marking Scheme
There is a system of negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer in the LIC AAO exam. LIC AAO/AE Exam Language
The LIC Assistant exam will be bilingual in nature i.e. in each section questions will be asked in English and Hindi both. You can attempt the whole paper in whichever language you want to attempt or can switch to any language in between for that particular section. The English Language section will be in English only.

LIC AAO notification has complete eligibility criteria with respect to age, nationality, education etc. All the candidates who are willing to apply for LIC AAO need to conform to the eligibility criteria mentioned in the LIC AAO notification, to avoid any unwanted consequences later.
LIC AAO/AE Educational Criteria
All the candidates need to follow the specified LIC AAO eligibility criteria with respect to educational qualification to ensure their candidature for the LIC AAO 2021 Exam. A candidate needs to have the following educational qualification/s in order to be eligible to fill the application form for LIC AAO. The candidate should also be well versed with green building design requirements and the application of AutoCAD software and/or similar type software.|
|AE (Structural)||M. Tech / M.E. (Structural) from an AICTE recognized Indian University/ Institution. Candidate should be well versed with the structural design of high rise building with the foundation system. He/she should be familiar with various standards of BIS pertaining to structural design and Foundation design and must be experienced in handling structural engineering software like ETABS, STAAD, etc. Candidates applying for the post must possess a minimum of one-year of hands-on experience in the area.|
|AE (MEP engineers)||B. Tech./ B.E. (Mechanical/ Electrical) from an AICTE recognized Indian University/Institution. LIC AAO/AE Age Criteria
In order to be able to apply for LIC AAO 2021, a candidate needs to follow certain criteria with respect to age. The age of a candidate should not be below 21 years and not above 30 years as of 01.02.2020, mentioned in the LIC AAO notification 2021.

LIC AAO/AE 2021: How to Apply Online
All the eligible candidates are expected to apply for their respective categories of posts according to eligibility. The candidates are expected to fill in the complete details in the LIC AAO online application form and without completing the application procedure, the candidates will not be permitted to appear in the LIC AAO examination. The step-by-step procedure is as follows:
Candidates should keep the following documents ready before applying online for LIC AAO:
- Scanned photograph (4.5cm × 3.5cm)
- Signature (with black ink)
- left thumb impression (on white paper with black or blue ink)
- a hand-written declaration (on white paper with black ink) with the text mentioned in the official notification.
Once you have all the required documents, start the LIC AAO application process:
- Go to the official website of LIC: www.licindia.in and click on click on the ‘Careers’ to open the link “ Recruitment of Assistant Administrative Officer 2021”. It redirects the candidates to the online registration page. To register the application, choose the tab "Click here for New Registration" and enter Name, Contact details and Email-id.
- A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Candidate should note down the Provisional Registration Number and Password. An Email & SMS indicating the Provisional Registration number and Password will also be sent. Click on Save & Next button to move forward.
- You will now be redirected to the next page of the form where you will be asked to upload your scanned passport size photograph and signature based on the specification mentioned therein and click on the next button.
- After you move on to the next page, you will have to fill in your personal details including your educational qualifications.
- After you are finished with entering the details, the preview of your form will be shown, so that if you find any error, you may edit and correct it. Once the application is submitted, you will not be able to edit it.
- At the end, you will have to choose a preferable online payment method to submit the LIC AAO application fee. You can pay the LIC AAO fees through credit card / debit card / net banking etc.
- Click on the 'Submit' button to complete the application.
While applying online, candidates should keep in mind a few important points:
- Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS will NOT be accepted.
- The left thumb impression should be properly scanned and not smudged. (If a candidate is not having left thumb, he/she may use his/ her right thumb for applying.)
- The hand-written declaration has to be in the candidate’s handwriting and in English only. If it is written and uploaded by anybody else or in any other language, the LIC AAO application will be considered as invalid.
- Have a valid personal email ID and mobile no., which should be kept active till the completion of the LIC AAO Recruitment Process. LIC may send intimation to download call letters for the LIC AAO Examination etc. through the registered email ID.
LIC AAO/AE Application Fee
Once a candidate is done with filling all the required details for LIC AAO 2021 and uploaded all documents required, the last stage is to submit the online LIC AAO application fee. As the LIC AAO examination and application both are in online mode, therefore the payment mode will also be online and you will have to choose from the given online payment options. Every year LIC allots various exam centres in different cities for the candidates where the LIC AAO online examination will be conducted. The candidate is allowed a centre depending on his choice of state and city. LIC reserves the right to allot any centre in that state/city and also change the centre for any reason whatsoever.
