    PFRDA Grade A Rajbhasha Exam Calendar

    The PFRDA Rajbhasha notification (Advt. No. 03/2026) has been released, with the online application window open from September 3 to September 24, 2026. Candidates should complete their forms and fee payments within this period to ensure a valid submission.

    The Phase I (Online Screening) Examination for the Rajbhasha stream will be held on October 15, 2026, and it is a qualifier. This phase consists of two objective papers: Paper 1 covers English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, and General Awareness (common to all streams), and Paper 2 covers the Rajbhasha-specific subject. Both papers carry negative marking for incorrect answers.

    The Phase II (Online Main) Examination will be held on November 20, 2026, and those who clear Phase I will be eligible. It comprises a descriptive English paper (drafting skills) and a Rajbhasha-specific objective test. Only those who clear the objective cut-offs will have their descriptive scripts evaluated.

    The Phase III (Personal Interview) will be held after that, with exact dates and venue details communicated to Phase II qualifiers via email/SMS. Candidates may opt for the interview in Hindi or English.

    PFRDA Rajbhasha Eligibility Criteria

    Nationality

    Must be a citizen of India.

    Age Limit (As on July 31, 2026)

    A candidate must not have exceeded the age of thirty (30) years as on July 31, 2026 i.e., candidate must have been born on or after August 01, 1996. SC/ST candidates are eligible for an age relaxation of up to five years, applicable only where posts are reserved for them.

    OBC candidates can avail a relaxation of up to three years, also applicable only where posts are reserved for them. Only OBC candidates belonging to the Non-Creamy Layer can apply under the OBC category; those in the Creamy Layer are not eligible.

    Educational Qualifications (As on July 31, 2026)

    Candidates appearing for the PFRDA Grade A Rajbhasha Exam need a Master's Degree in Hindi or Hindi Translation, with English as a subject at the Bachelor's level. Alternatively, they can hold a Master's Degree in Sanskrit, English, Economics, or Commerce, with Hindi as a subject at the Bachelor's level. A Master's Degree in both English and Hindi or Hindi Translation from a recognized university or institute is also accepted.

    No Objection Certificate

    Government or PSU employees must present a No Objection Certificate from their employer at the interview stage.
