    PFRDA Grade A Finance and Accounts 2025 Highlights

    The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) has issued Advertisement No. 01/2025 on June 23, 2025, inviting online applications from July 2 to August 6, 2025, for Officer Grade ‘A’ (Assistant Manager) across eight specialist streams, including Finance & Accounts.

    Under the Finance & Accounts stream, there are 2 vacancies—one reserved for Scheduled Caste candidates and one for Economically Weaker Section candidates, with no horizontal PwBD allocation.

    To be eligible, candidates must hold a graduate degree from a recognised university and possess one of the following professional qualifications: ACA/FCA (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India), ACS/FCS (Institute of Company Secretaries of India), ACMA/FCMA (Institute of Cost Accountants of India) or CFA from the CFA Institute.

    PFRDA Finance and Accounts Exam Pattern

    Phase I – Online Screening
    A single-day online examination featuring two objective papers: one on general aptitude (including English, quantitative aptitude, reasoning and financial awareness) and one on stream-specific Finance & Accounts topics. Both papers carry negative marking for incorrect answers, and candidates must meet sectional as well as overall cut-offs to advance.

    Phase II – Online Main Examination
    Conducted a month later, this phase includes a descriptive English paper (essay/précis) and an objective Finance & Accounts paper. Only those who clear the objective cut-offs have their descriptive scripts evaluated, and negative marking applies to the objective component.

    Phase III – Interview
    The final personal interview carries a weight of 15% in the overall selection (with Phase II accounting for 85%). This stage assesses candidates’ domain expertise, communication skills and understanding of regulatory frameworks. Shortlisted candidates will be informed of interview schedules via email/SMS.

    The PFRDA Finance and Accounts Phase 1 is in two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2, a multiple-choice online exam to assess candidates' proficiency and skill-set.     PFRDA Grade A Phase 2- Exam Pattern

    The PFRDA Grade A Mains exam, or Phase 2, continues the two-paper format – Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is a Descriptive English paper and is common for all streams, where candidates' proficiency in English writing skills will be tested. While, Paper 2 is subject-specific to the chosen stream. PFRDA Finance and Accounts Phase 2, Paper 2 adopts a multiple-choice question format.

    PFRDA Finance and Accounts Eligibility

    Must be a citizen of India.

    Between 21 and 30 years of age (born on or after August 1, 1995 and on or before July 31, 2004).
    Relaxations: +5 years for SC/ST; +3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer); +10 years for PwBD-UR; +13 years for PwBD-OBC; +15 years for PwBD-SC/ST; +5 years for Ex-servicemen.
