IBPS RRB Officer Scale II Exam Highlights

IBPS or Institute of Banking Personnel and Selection is a self-governing recruitment body which recruits eligible Indian candidates to various posts in different banking organizations of India. It holds recruitment drive to fill up the vacancies of different posts. IBPS conducts online examinations to fill up the vacancies in both commercial as well as rural banks. It has now released the recruitment notification for IBPS RRB Officer Scale II under Group ‘A’. Every year it releases notifications for Group ‘A’ & Group ‘B’ vacancies. All the candidates who are interested in applying for IBPS RRB Officer Scale II post should go through the notification thoroughly and make sure that they are eligible before applying for the post. A ‘Common Recruitment Process’ (CRP) will be held by IBPS for recruitment in various RRBs.

 

IBPS RRB Officer Scale II Exam Notification

IBPS has finally released its much-awaited notification for the post of Officer Scale II in Regional Rural Banks. Like all other examinations held by IBPS for commercial banks, it conducts online examination for RRB Officer Scale II also. The IBPS RRB Officer Scale II Examination will be a single-level examination. The vacancies have been released state-wise and for various posts under Scale II. The online application process for IBPS RRB Officer Scale II has commenced from 18th June 2019. All the interested candidates can go through the notification, ensure their eligibility and start applying as the link has been activated, to avoid last minute rush.

 

IBPS RRB Officer Scale II Exam Pattern

IBPS has released the recruitment notification for the post of IBPS RRB Officer Scale II. A good number of vacancies has been announced by IBPS for the same. As the notification is out, the preparation for the examination should immediately follow as there will not be much gap between the application process and the Ist stage of the examination process. Before you start your preparation, you need to be well aware of the complete exam related information. First step in the preparation should be knowing the complete exam pattern so that you know what to prepare. IBPS RRB Officer Scale II will consist of a single phase exam. Candidates will have to secure minimum cut-off marks to move ahead.There are vacancies for two major posts under Scale II: General Banking Officer and Specialist Officer. There are many posts under Specialist Officers post. There will be a separate examination for General Banking Officer and Specialist Officer. The test will consist of objective type questions from various subjects which will be available in both Hindi & English. Only the test of language will be available only in the respective language.

IBPS RRB Scale II General Banking Officer Exam Pattern

The online examination for General Banking Officer will consist of 40 questions each from five subjects. There will be questions from Reasoning, Computer Knowledge, Financial Awareness, English/Hindi Language and  Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation. There will be multiple choice questions and a composite time of 2 hours will be available for the same. Total number of questions and marks will be 200. The test of Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation will have 50 marks whereas the test of Computer Knowledge will have only 20 marks but 40 questions. Remaining sections will have 40 marks each.

  • There will be a penalty of 0.25 marks, i.e. for every incorrect answer attempted by a candidate, 1/4th marks assigned to that question will be deducted.
  • There will be a minimum cut-off score to be obtained by each candidate in all sections on the basis of which candidates will be shortlisted for Interview.

IBPS RRB Scale II Specialist Officer Exam Pattern

The online objective examination for IBPS RRB Scale II Specialist Officer will consist of multiple choice questions from six subjects. There will be questions from Professional Knowledge, Reasoning, Financial Awareness, English/ Hindi Language, Computer Knowledge and Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation. All the sections will have 40 questions each which makes a total of 240 questions. The total marks will be 200 and the time duration will be a total of 2 hours and 30 minutes. There will not be any sectional timings in this exam. All the sections will be of 40 marks each except the tests of English/Hindi language and Computer Knowledge which will carry 20 marks each.

  • There will be a penalty of 0.25 marks, i.e. for every incorrect answer attempted by a candidate, 1/4th marks assigned to that question will be deducted.
  • There will not be any deduction of marks if a question is left unattempted.
  • There will be a minimum cut-off score to be obtained by each candidate in all sections on the basis of which candidates will be shortlisted for Interview.

IBPS RRB Officer Scale II Interview

The candidates appearing for any of the above mentioned posts under IBPS RRB Officer Scale II, whether General Banking Officer or Specialist Officer category, will be called for the final stage of Interview if they qualify the online test. The call letters for Interview can be downloaded from the official website of IBPS. The call letters will be announced few days after the results of the online test will be released. The total marks allotted to the Interview stage are 100.

IBPS RRB Officer Scale II Exam Language

IBPS conducts online examinations for various posts in commercial and rural banks. IBPS RRB Officer Scale II Recruitment Notification has just been released and more than 1000 vacancies have been announced for Officer Scale II. IBPS will conduct a single level online examination for IBPS RRB Officer Scale II. All the questions here will be ‘bilingual’, i.e. candidates will have the choice to attempt the online test in either Hindi or English. This will not apply to the test of language. The candidates who will opt for test of Hindi Language will be given questions only in Hindi and those who opt for English Language will attempt the test only in English.

IBPS RRB Officer Scale II Eligibility Criteria

To apply for any exam, and especially one like IBPS RRB Officer Scale II, one needs to be careful enough while filling the application form. There are various parameters of eligibility that a candidate needs to follow and educational criteria is an important one among all. In order to apply successfully for IBPS RRB Officer Scale II, a candidate needs to possess a minimum educational qualification failing which he/she will not be able to apply.

General Banking Officer:

  • A candidate needs to possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university with 50% marks.
  • A candidate should possess an experience of 2 years as an Officer in a Financial Institution or a Bank.

Specialist Officers:

There are six posts under Specialist Officers which will have their own requirements as follows:

Information Technology Officer:

  • A candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University in various disciplines like Electronics / Communication / Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
  • An experience of 1 year in the relevant field will be required here.

Chartered Accountant:

  • A candidate needs to be a Certified Associate (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
  • An experience of 1 year as a Chartered Accountant will be required for the job.

Law Officer:

  • A candidate needs to possess a Degree from a recognized University in Law or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
  • An experience of 2 years as an Advocate or as a Law Officer in Banks or Financial Institutions will be required.

Treasury Manager:

  • A candidate willing to apply for Treasury Manager should be a Chartered Accountant or MBA in Finance from a recognized University/ Institution.
  • An experience of 1 year in relevant field will be required.

Marketing Officer:

  • A candidate should be MBA in Marketing from a recognized university.
  • An experience of 1 year in the relevant field will be required.

Agriculture Officer:

  • For the post of Agriculture Officer, a candidate should possess a degree in Agriculture/Horticulture/ Dairy/ Animal Husbandry/ Forestry/ Veterinary Science/ Agricultural Engineering/ Pisciculture from a recognized university or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
  • An experience of 2 years in relevant field will be required.

IBPS RRB Officer Scale II Age Criteria

Apart from the regular educational criteria that a candidate needs to follow in order to apply for IBPS RRB Officer Scale II Exam, he/she also additionally needs to follow an age criteria. A candidate willing to apply for the post needs to be within the prescribed age limit. The minimum age of a candidate applying for IBPS RRB Officer Scale II should not be below 21 years and not above 32 years.

IBPS RRB Officer Scale II Age Relaxation

IBPS RRBs provide a relaxation in upper age limit to some of the categories. Many categories have been listed down by IBPS where the period of relaxation varies according to the respective category. A candidate should first therefore go through the complete notification and then apply for the post. The candidates who are eligible for the relaxation need to produce the respective certificates at the time of selection. Without the original certificates the relaxation will not be applicable. IBPS RRB Officer Scale II Exam Dates

The recruitment notification for IBPS RRB Officer Scale II has been released and the registration process has started from 18th June 2019. The candidates can apply till 4th July 2019 and the application fee can be submitted online till 4th July 2019. The online examination for IBPS RRB Officers Scale II is expected to be conducted on 22nd September 2019. The candidates who manage to clear the examination will be further called for Interview which will be held around November 2019. IBPS RRB Officer Scale II Salary

IBPS is one of the largest recruiting organizations and is responsible for recruitment in various commercial and rural banks. IBPS RRB Officer Scale II How to Apply

IBPS RRB Officer Scale II is an important post and the interested candidates need to be careful enough while they apply for the job post. The candidates are advised to fill up the application form only after you read the complete notification properly. As it is Scale II post, it holds even more importance than Scale I Exam. therefore, before you start applying for the same, you should know the complete application process in advance.   • Visit the official website of IBPS: www.ibps.in and click on the link “CRP for RRBs” and then click on “CLICK HERE TO APPLY ONLINE FOR CRP- RRBs OFFICERS (Scale-I, II and III)” . This will open the online application form.
  • After this, please click on “CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION” link and register yourself.
  • Candidates will have to upload their scanned photograph, signature, left thumb impression and a hand written declaration, according to the guidelines specified by IBPS.
  • You can verify your details by clicking on the “Save & Next” button.
  • After uploading all the documents, you will be directed to the next part of application where you will have to enter all the important and complete details related to your educational and professional background.
  • The final step in application will be payment of application fee.
  • Choose one of the suitable online payment methods and submit the application fee.
  • Click on “FINAL SUBMIT”.

IBPS RRB Officer Scale II Exam Admit Card

The online examination for IBPS RRB Officer Scale II will be held in a single phase (online examination) which will be further followed by the final stage of Interview. All the candidates who will apply for the exam will have to appear in the Phase I exam for which the call letter/admit card will be released a few days before the examination. Candidates can download their admit card from the official website of IBPS and will have to bring a copy along with a valid identity proof at the exam venue. IBPS RRB Officer Scale II 2019 Exam will be held online across the country in various states. The RRBs will select certain exam centres all over India which will assist in proper conduct of the exam. These exam centres will be allotted to all the candidates who will get a chance to select a suitable centres according to their choice while filling the application form. No request of changing the exam centres will be entertained once the application form is submitted.
