Highlights 2021 

IBPS or Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is a self-governing recruitment body that recruits eligible Indian candidates to various posts in different banking organizations of India. IBPS conducts online examinations to fill up the vacancies in both commercials as well as rural banks. The IBPS RRB Scale 2 notification 2021 for officers was released on June 7, 2021. This year, you can apply for approximately 12,820 IBPS RRB jobs across different scales. 43 RRBs are participating in the recruitment process. Before applying for IBPS RRB Scale 2 post you should go through the notification thoroughly and make sure that you are eligible for the post. A ‘Common Recruitment Process’ (CRP) is held by IBPS for recruitment in various RRBs. The IBPS RRB Scale 2 exam will be held in August, 2021 tentatively while the tentative schedule of the interview is October/November.

Notification 2021

After the release of IBPS Calendar 2021 the official notification was announced on June 7, 2021 and then revised on June 10, 2021. The difference in the notifications being that of the number of vacancies. In the earlier notification, 11687 vacancies were announced which was increased to 12820 in the updated IBPS RRB notification 2021. Like all other examinations held by IBPS for commercial banks, it conducts an online examination for RRB Officer Scale 2. The Scale 2 exam will be a single-level examination. The exam is scheduled in August, 2021. There are more than 1100 for various posts under Scale 2 Officer. You should ensure your eligibility before applying for the RRB exam. The application window is open from June 8, 2021 to June 28, 2021.

Exam Pattern 2021

As the IBPS RRB Scale 2 official notification is out, so you have very little time left for preparation of the examination. This time should be utilized fruitfully as there is not enough gap between the application process and the first stage of the examination process. Before you start your preparation, you need to be well aware of the complete information related to the exam. The first step in the preparation should be knowing the complete RRB Scale 2 exam pattern so that you know what to prepare. RRB Scale 2 Officer is a single-phase exam. You have to secure minimum cut-off marks to move ahead. There are basically two major streams under IBPS RRB Scale 2- General Banking and Specialist Officer. There will be a separate examination for RRB General Banking Officer and Specialist Officer. The test will consist of objective type questions from various subjects which will be available in both Hindi & English. Only the test of language in the IBPS RRB exam for Scale 2 will be available in the respective language.

IBPS RRB Scale 2 General Banking Officer Exam Pattern

The online examination for IBPS RRB Scale 2 General Banking Officer will consist of five subjects - Reasoning, Computer Knowledge, Financial Awareness, English/Hindi Language and Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation. The exam will be multiple-choice questions and a composite time of 2 hours will be available for the same. Further details for RRB Scale 2 exam are specified in the table below.

IBPS RRB Specialist Officer (SO) Exam Pattern

The online objective examination for IBPS RRB Specialist Officer will consist of multiple-choice questions from six subjects - Professional Knowledge, Reasoning, Financial Awareness, English/ Hindi Language, Computer Knowledge and Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation. IBPS RRB Scale 2 Interview

If you qualify the sectional cut-offs and the overall cut-offs requirements for IBPS RRB Officer Scale 2 under General Banking Officer and Specialist Officer category,  you will be called for the Interview. The call letters for RRB Scale 2 Interview can be downloaded from the official website of IBPS. The call letters will be announced few days after the results of the online test. You are supposed to carry all the valid documents during the time of the interview failing which, your candidature will be cancelled. The number of candidates called will be thrice the number of vacancies released.

The total marks allotted to the Interview stage are 100. The final merit will be based on the marks distributed between the single phase exam and the interview in the ratio of 80:20.

Job Profile 2021

If you get selected as an IBPS RRB Scale 2 Officer, you will be designated as ‘Manager’. You will be posted in one of the ‘Regional Rural Banks’ in the respective state from where you applied. Marking Scheme

Before giving any competitive exam it is very essential that you are aware of the marking scheme of that exam. IBPS RRB Scale 2 exam enforces a penalty of one-fourth marks assigned to that question to arrive at the corrected score. If a question is left unanswered, there will be no penalty for that question. Exam Language

IBPS conducts online examinations for various posts in commercial and rural banks. RRB Scale 2 Recruitment will be conducted through a single level online exam. All the questions will be ‘bilingual’, i.e. you have the choice to attempt the online test in either Hindi or English. This will not apply to the test of English Language. If you opt for the test in the Hindi Language, you will be given questions only in Hindi and if you opt for the English Language you have to attempt the test only in English.

Eligibility Criteria 2021

  • A Nepalese subject or

  • After uploading all the documents, you will be directed to the next part of the application where you will have to enter all the important and complete details related to your educational and professional background
  • The final step in the application will be payment of the application fee
  • Choose one of the suitable online payment methods and submit the application fee
  • Click on “COMPLETE REGISTRATION”. Please remember that once you hit this button you cannot undo any changes to your application form.
