RRB NTPC Notification

RRB has released the notification for Railway NTPC Recruitment 2019. Railway gives a golden opportunity to all the aspirants who are trying hard to get a chance to work in the government sector. RRB has released good number of vacancies for the various posts under RRB NTPC Recruitment 2019. Around 35000 vacancies have been announced by RRB under the following posts: Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Trains Clerk, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Traffic Assistant, Goods Guard, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, Senior Time Keeper, Commercial Apprentice and Station Master in various Zonal Railways and Production Units of Indian Railways. All the interested candidates can start applying for the same after ensuring their eligibility. RRB conducts an examination almost every year and therefore it has invited online applications for RRB NTPC 2019 Recruitment from all eligible candidates. The examination is expected to be held from June to September 2019.

 

RRB NTPC Exam Pattern

As the RRB NTPC Recruitment 2019 has been released, it will be a good idea to take a look at the RRB NTPC 2019 exam pattern for  better understanding and clarity about the exam, so that you can prepare in the right direction with the appropriate preparation plan. RRB conducts a computer-based examination for NTPC Recruitment which is held in four phases:

  • CBT 1 - Preliminary Test
  • CBT 2 - Main Test 
  • Typing Skill Test/ Computer Based Aptitude Test (Whichever applicable)
  • Document Verification
  • The Typing Skill Test will be applicable to the posts of Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist, Senior Time Keeper, Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist and Junior Time Keeper.
  • Computer Based Aptitude Test will be applicable for only those candidates who opt for the posts of Station Master and Traffic Assistant.

RRB NTPC Exam Pattern for First Stage of CBT

The first phase of RRB NTPC Examination is CBT-1 which will be an online preliminary examination which is common for all the posts mentioned in the official notification of RRB NTPC Recruitment 2019. The first stage of computer based test will be objective type and will include three tests of General Awareness, Mathematics & General Intelligence and Reasoning. There will be total 100 questions in the test and each section will be allotted different marks. The time duration provided will be 90 minutes.

  • There will be a negative marking of 1/3 marks, which implies that for every incorrect answer 1/3 of the marks allotted to that question will be deducted. 
  • The marks obtained in the first stage will be normalized and on the basis of that the candidates will be shortlisted for CBT 2.

RRB NTPC Exam Pattern for the Second Stage of CBT

The candidates who are able to qualify the first stage will be required to appear in the 2nd stage CBT - the Main Test. The second stage Main test will also be objective type which will consist of three sections: General Awareness, Mathematics & General Intelligence and Reasoning. All the sections will be allotted different marks and the total time will be 90 minutes. The total number of questions and total marks will be 120. The level of the exam will be different for different posts. The marks obtained in the Main examination will be normalized before releasing the final merit.

RRB NTPC Typing Skill Test (TST)

After both the stages of CBT are done, for some of the posts the typing skill test will also be held. The Typing Skill Test will be qualifying in nature and eight times the number of vacancies will be called for the typing test. The candidates will be required to type 30 words per minute (WPM) in English or 25 WPM in Hindi on Personal Computer only without editing tools and spell check facility.

Candidates who are permanently disabled due to Blindness/Low Vision, Cerebral Palsy & Loco Motor Disability with not less than 40% permanent disability will be exempted from the Typing Test only after they produce a certificate pertaining to the test exemption issued by the Competent Medical Board which will be available on the website of respective RRBs before the Typing Skill Test will be conducted.

RRB NTPC Computer Based Aptitude Test

The candidates who will opt for Traffic Assistant and Station Master will also be required to appear in a Computer Based Aptitude Test on the basis of their performance in the 2nd Stage CBT. The candidates will have to score a minimum T-score of 42 marks in each of the test batteries to qualify. There is no facility of relaxation in minimum marks for any category of candidates.

RRB NTPC Document Verification

Based on the performance of candidates in the 2nd Stage CBT and other tests (as applicable) as per the posts, the candidates equal to the number of vacancies will be called for document verification. In addition to this on the discretion of RRBs, candidates equal to 50% ( may increase or decrease at the discretion of RRBs) of the number of vacancies for various posts will also be called for document verification.

 

RRB NTPC Exam Language

The RRB NTPC Recruitment 2019 follows a fixed selection process containing online (computer-based) tests which test the candidates' knowledge in various subjects as mentioned above. The default language of the RRB NTPC Exam is English. If any candidate wishes to attempt the exam in any other language, he/she can do so by selecting another language from the drop down menu. 

  • The languages listed are Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. 
 

RRB NTPC Marking scheme

RRB NTPC 2019 Exam process consists of two objective tests - CBT 1 & CBT 2 which will consist of 100 questions and 120 questions respectively. The questions will carry 1 mark each in both the tests and both tests will consist of a negative marking of 1/3 marks.

RRB NTPC Eligibility Criteria

RRB NTPC 2019 is one of the most chased and important jobs. Railway jobs have always attracted many job aspirants owing to the job security and facilities that are provided in all posts. RRB NTPC Age Criteria

All candidates who apply for RRB NTPC 2019 have to follow a fixed age criteria prescribed in the official notification. The age will be reckoned as on 01.07.2019. The age criteria will vary according to the posts. If any candidate fails to conform to the mentioned age criteria, he/she will not be permitted to appear in the RRB NTPC 2019 Examination. There is a minimum and maximum age limit specified for all posts which will vary accordingly. The minimum age for all posts is 18 years and the maximum age will vary according to the posts. For Age Group 18-30

There are numerous posts specified in the RRB NTPC 2019 Recruitment Notification. For the undergraduate posts, there is a different eligibility criteria specified which includes age limit also. For the undergraduate posts the minimum age limit is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 30 years as given below:

RRB NTPC Vacancy

 Railways always gives a golden chance to all the job aspirants to work in the government sector and is one of the most preferred jobs in India. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) releases vacancies at all levels with varied eligibility requirements which includes variable age groups. RRB this year has planned to recruit 35,208 eligible candidates to fill in the respective vacancies. RRB revised the number of vacancies for the NTPC posts from 35,277 to 35,208 by deducting the number of DLW vacancies from Allahabad zone. RRB NTPC How to Apply

RRB has announced 35000+ vacancies under Non-Technical Popular Posts (NTPC) this year and most of the candidates who are seriously aiming for a government job will apply for the post. You can expect the competition to be high enough. But before you start preparing it is necessary to first apply and complete the application process successfully. The application for RRB NTPC 2019 can be completed in a few simple steps:

  • The candidates need to visit the official website of RRB and click on ‘New Registration’.
  • Carefully select the RRB to which you need to apply, as the choice once made cannot be changed later.
  • The candidates will have to enter your basic details to complete the registration and a provisional registration number and password will be allotted to you after successful verification of your mobile number through an OTP.
  • The candidates can further proceed with the application process by clicking on candidate login button using the allotted registration number and password.
  • First, the basic details such as educational qualifications,nationality,experience etc. will have to be entered through which your eligibility will be ascertained.
  • The candidates will also have to upload their scanned photograph and signature as per the given specifications.
  • After entering all the details, the candidates will have to make the online payment of application fee through any one of the payment options given.
  • The preference of posts will also have to be entered before submitting the completed application form.

 

 

RRB NTPC Application Fee

As per the RRB NTPC 2019 Recruitment Notification, all the candidates have to submit an online application fee in order to complete the application process. The candidates will have to opt from one of the given options for online payment and submit the requisite fee. Only after payment of application fee, the application form will be considered complete and can be finally submitted. The fee details for different categories are given below:

RRB NTPC Admit Card

RRB NTPC 2019 Recruitment Examination will be held from June to Spetember 2019. The admit cards for all the zones will be released few days before the exam. Candidates can download the admit cards from the official websites of RRBs through the links provided for all the zones. The admit card will contain all the details regarding the city and date of the examination.

 

RRB NTPC Previous Year Cut-off

RRB NTPC 2019 Notification was the most awaited one and finally when it has been released, all the candidates should make sure that they collect all the required necessary details and information related to the examination and its process. Apart from knowing the dates, vacacny, syllabus and exam pattern, it is important to also track  the pattern in which the examination has been going on since all the previous years. RRB NTPC Job profile

RRB NTPC 2019 Recruitment has been released and many job aspirants must have planned to apply for it as it is the most chased job. Most of the job aspirants wait for this notification eagerly as it releases a good number of vacancies. This year RRB has released 35,208 vacancies for Non-Technical Popular Posts (NTPC). RRB had earlier released 35,277 vacancies but it has decreased the DLW Varanasi under RRB Allahabad. The posts are: Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Trains Clerk, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Traffic Assistant, Goods Guard, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, Senior Time Keeper, Commercial Apprentice and Station Master in various Zonal Railways and Production Units of Indian Railways. All the above job posts require an employee to work closely with the Railways according to the job title. All the above posts have different responsibilities according to the job titles,e.g:

  • A Traffic Assistant will be responsible for handling the traffic signals.
  • A Goods Guard will be responsible for managing the goods train.
  • A Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk will be posted in the Ticket Booking Offices and will manage the issuing of tickets etc.
  • A Senior Clerk cum Typist is expected to have a good typing efficiency and also oversees the work of junior clerks.
  • A Senior Time Keeper & Junior Time Keeper will be responsible for tracking and maintaining the timings of the trains and managing the time records.
  • A Commercial Apprentice works as a mediator between field staff and higher level employees.
  • A Station Master is responsible for timely arrival and departure of trains.
  • A Junior Clerk cum Typist needs to have a good typing speed.
  • A Trains Clerk will be responsible for checking the number of coaches/wagons in all the trains.
  • A Commercial cum Ticket Clerk  will be issuing tickets through UTS or CRS.

RRB NTPC Additional Information

Medical Standards

RRB NTPC 2019 Examination is going to be held from June to September 2019. The notification includes vacancies for a number of posts from undergraduate level to graduate level. Being a government job, there are some specific rules and standards that all candidates need to follow here. One of them is 'medical standards'. All the candidates who are going to apply for any of the post stated above, need to prove themselves medically fit according to the standards given in the notification. If any candidate is found to be unsuitable based on the prescribed medical standards, he/she will not be handed over the appointment. The medical test needs to be given at the time of document verification. All the RRB NTPC posts have their respective medical standards mentioned in the official notification.
