The sections of Reasoning & Numerical Ability will consist of 35 questions each and the test of English/Hindi language will consist of 30 questions. LIC Assistant Mains Exam Pattern 

LIC Assistant  Mains will be the second stage of LIC Assistant  2019 Exam which will also be held in online mode. There will be four sections: Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude, General/Financial Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English/Hindi Language. There will be 160 questions for 160 marks. There will be separate sectional timings which will vary according to the sections. The number of questions in each section will be the same, i.e. 40. Candidates need to qualify in each section.

The number of questions in each section will vary accordingly and so will the marks. Candidates need to qualify in each section.

LIC Assistant 2019 – Main Exam Pattern (North, West, Central, East Central, North Central Divisions)

LIC Assistant 2019 Exam for North, West, Central, East Central, North Central Divisions will consist of five sections: Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude, General/Financial Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, General English & Hindi Language. This exam will also consist of 200 questions with 200 marks. The number of questions and marks will be the same for all the sections and there will be sectional timings in all the sections.

  • There will be negative marking of 1/4th marks in the exam.
  • Total time available will be 2 hours 30 minutes.
  • The minimum qualifying marks have been mentioned by LIC for all the sections for these zones too.

LIC Assistant Official Language Qualifying test

  • An official language test will be conducted for the candidates applying for LIC Assistant Exam 2019. The language test for each candidate will be decided according to the choice of the Stae/UT the candidate has applied for. The test will be of 25 marks. General category candidate will have to score minimum 10 marks & SC/ST/PwD candidates will have to score at least 9 marks.
  • These marks scored by a candidate will only be qualifying in nature & will not be considered while finalising the merit list.
  • The candidates who qualify Main examination and possess 10th/12th standard certificate/marksheet proving he/she has studied the official language of the respective Stae/UT will not be required to appear for this test.
  • The candidates who apply for those divisions which are under the State/UTs which have English/Hindi as their official language, will also not be required to appear for any such language test.
