DSSSB Recruitment Notification 2021 (PRT/LDC/Counselor/Head Clerk/Patwari)

Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board has released notification for various posts such as Assistant Teacher (Primary), Assistant Teacher (Nursery), Jr. Secretariat Assistant (LDC), Counselor, Head Clerk, and Patwari. For these posts, DSSSB has released 978 vacancies. DSSSB exam notification regarding these posts was released on May 13, 2021 and the application window is all set to open from May 25, 2021. To apply for any of the posts, you need to possess the required qualification. It is advised to apply as soon as the application link is active. The last date to apply is June 26, 2021. DSSSB exam date 2021 is yet to be announced.

DSSSB Recruitment Exam Pattern 2021 (PRT/LDC/Counselor/Head Clerk/Patwari)

DSSSB selection process for Assistant Teacher (Primary), Assistant Teacher (Nursery), Jr. Secretariat Assistant (LDC), Counselor, Head Clerk, and Patwari posts will consist of Tier 1 and Tier 2 exams (for head clerk) followed by a skill test (wherever applicable). It has released 978 vacancies for (PRT/Counselor/Head Clerk/Patwari). Please note that the questions asked in the exam will be bilingual (Hindi & English) in nature except for the Language papers (Hindi/English). The DSSSB Selection Process is provided below.

Tier 1 - Online Written examination

Tier 2 - Online Written examination – for Head Clerk

Tier 3 - Skill Test- It will be taken as per the requirement of the job.

DSSSB Recruitment (Tier 1) Exam Pattern 2021 – Assistant Teacher (Primary) and Assistant Teacher (Nursery) 

DSSSB announced recruitment for Assistant Teacher (Primary) and Assistant Teacher (Nursery) to fill posts under the Directorate of Education and New Delhi Municipal Council Department. You have to attempt a written examination consisting of two parts i.e. Section A and Section B.

In Section A, sections like General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability. Arithmetical & Numerical Ability, General Awareness (history, culture, demography, geography & economy of Delhi, Administrative set up and Governance in NCT of Delhi, various schemes of Delhi Govt.), Hindi Language & Comprehension and English language & Comprehension will be asked.

DSSSB Recruitment (Tier 1) Exam Pattern 2021 (Technical) - Counselor- Department of Women & Child Development

DSSSB (Tier 1) Exam Pattern 2021 (Technical) for the post of Counselor consists of two sections namely Section A and Section B.

Section A, contains General Awareness, Mental Ability & Reasoning ability, Numerical Aptitude & Data Interpretation, Test of Hindi Language & Comprehension and Test of English Language & Comprehension. Each consists of 20 marks.

DSSSB Recruitment Exam Pattern 2021 – Head Clerk, Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board

To apply for the post of Head clerk, you need to undergo two tiers i.e. Tier 1 and Tier 2. In tier 1, 2 hours will be provided to solve 200 questions (MCQ). The sections included in this are General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability, Arithmetical & Numerical Ability, Test of Hindi Language & Comprehension, and Test of English Language & Comprehension. Each section consists of 40 Marks.

DSSSB Exam Pattern (Tier-2), will be held in two parts. In Part 1, sections like General Intelligence & Reasoning, Quantitative Abilities, General awareness with special emphasis on the History, Culture, Demography, Geography and Economy of Delhi, Administrative set up and Governance in NCT of Delhi, English language and Comprehension and Computer Proficiency will be asked.

Part 2, will be descriptive in nature. You have to write an Essay and Letter Writing/ Expansion of ideas in three hours. Please note that you have to write both in English Language only.

DSSSB Exam Pattern 2021 for Patwari posts comprises of two sections i.e. Section A, and Section B. In Section A, General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability, Arithmetical & Numerical Ability, Test of Hindi Language & Comprehension and Test of English Language & Comprehension will be asked. 20 Marks each will be allotted for this section.

General Awareness Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidate’s General Awareness of the environment around him/her and its application to society. The questions will be designed to test knowledge of Current Events and of such matter of everyday observation as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions relating to History, Polity, Constitution, Sports, Art & Culture, Geography, Economics, Everyday Science, Scientific Research, National/International Organizations / Institutions etc.
General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability The syllabus of General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability includes questions of both verbal and non-verbal types. Test may include questions on analogies, similarities, differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship, concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series etc.
Arithmetical & Numerical Ability The test of Arithmetical and Numerical Abilities will cover Number Systems including questions on Simplification, Decimals, Data Interpretation, Fractions, L.C.M., H.C.F., Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Tables & Graphs etc.
Hindi Language & Comprehension Testing of candidate’s understanding and comprehension of the Hindi Language. In addition to this, questions on its Vocabulary, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms and its correct usage etc. would also be covered.

Note:- Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks (in Academic qualification) shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to reserved categories such as SC/ST/OBC/PH.
2. Assistant Teacher (Nursery)
  • (1.) Senior Secondary School (Class Twelve) certificate or Intermediate or its equivalent with atleast 45% marks from a recognized Board/university.
  • (2.) Diploma/Certificate in Nursery Teacher Education programme of a duration of not less than two years or B.Ed. (Nursery) from a recognized institute.
  • (3.) Must have passed Hindi at Secondary Level.
3. Junior Secretariat Assistant (LDC)
  • (1.) Matriculation /Secondary School Exam from a recognized University / Board or equivalent; and
  • (2.) Ability to type at a speed of not less than 35 words per minute in English or 30 Words per minute in Hindi on Computer.
4. Counselor
  • (1.) (a.) Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology / Applied Psychology.
    • (b.) Post Graduate Diploma in Counseling Psychology, and
    • (c.) One year experience of working with clinical psychologist / organization working in the field of Mental Health / Drug De-addiction Centre / Psychiatric ward in any Hospital / Clinic’ OR
  • (2.) Master’s Degree in Psychology / Counseling Psychology / Clinical Psychology / Applied Psychology from a recognized University / Institute.
  • (3.) Studied Hindi as a Subject at any level from Secondary onward.
  • Desirable: M. Phil in Clinical Psychology.
5. Head Clerk
  • (1.) Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from any recognized university
  • (2.) Computer proficiency
6. Assistant Teacher (Primary)
  • (1.) 12th Pass with 50% Marks (5% relaxation in case of SC/ST) from a recognized Board.

There is a provision of upper age relaxation for reserved categories candidates. This is provided by the Government of India.
