HTET (Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test) 2021 Notification

HTET2021 Exam is a much awaited notification for the candidates who all are looking for a teaching post in government sector. HTET (Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test) 2021 Exam Pattern

HTET2021 exam pattern is same for all three levels, the only difference lies in the difficulty level of the exam. The subjects that are involved in the exam pattern are General Studies, Mathematics, Languages (Hindi and English), Environmental Studies and Child Development and Pedagogy. 

Level 1- Primary Teacher (Class I to V)

The HTET examination pattern for primary teacher includes sections namely General Studies (Quantitative aptitude, Reasoning Ability, Haryana General Awareness), Child Development and Pedagogy, Languages (Hindi and English), Environmental Studies, and Mathematics. The total time allotted for the exam will be two and a half hours. 150 questions will be asked for 150 marks. Each section will have 30 MCQs for which 30 marks will be allotted. Level 2- Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) (Class VI to VIII)

The level 2 exam is for teachers who want to teach from Class 6th to class 8th. The TET examination pattern for Level 2 exam (TGT) is different from the examination pattern of the Level 1(Primary Teacher). The difficulty level of the Level 2 exam is also higher than that of level 1 exam. The HTET Level 2 exam pattern consists of four sections namely Child Development and Pedagogy, General studies (Quantitative Aptitude, Haryana G.K, Reasoning ability), Languages (English and Hindi) and the subject which was opted by the candidate at the time of filling up the application form. The total number of questions are 150 with a time limit of two and a half hours. The TET examination pattern for Level 2 (TGT) exam is given in the tabular from below:

Level 3- For Post Graduate teacher (PGT)

For HTET Level 3 examination i.e. PGT exam, the examination pattern is same as that of Level 2 (TGT) exam. The total exam will be of 150 marks. The sections included will be Child development and pedagogy, Languages (Hindi and English), General Studies and opted subject which will be of 60 marks. Before starting preparation for the HTET Exam2021 it is very important for a candidate to be well versed about the syllabus. The syllabus of HTET is different for all three levels. HTET (Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test) 2019 Eligibility Criteria

A candidate needs to be fully aware of the complete eligibility criteria before deciding to apply for the HTET Exam2021. If a candidate fails to follow any of the below mentioned eligibility criteria, he/she will be disqualified from the examination and a candidate will not be able to apply for the exam. The eligibility criteria include educational qualification, age criteria, nationality etc.

Educational Criteria

In order to apply for the HTET Exam, a candidate needs to possess certain educational qualifications. There is a different educational qualification for different levels of posts. It is advisable to the candidates to look at the educational criteria carefully and then apply accordingly. All of these are mentioned below:

Level 1 (For PRT Classes I to V)

There are various eligibility conditions available for the candidates who want to apply for the post of PRT in HTET exam. One such eligibility is that a candidate must be senior secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final of 4-year degree of Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) etc. For complete details on the educational qualification for a PRT is given in tabular form below.

Level 2(For TGT (Class VI to VIII))

If a candidate wants to apply for the Trained Graduate Teacher post he/she needs to be a Graduate in the respective subjects he/she applied for.   • In case of B.Ed., Science as a teaching subject from a recognized university
  • Matric with Hindi/ Sanskrit or 10+2/ B.A/ M.A with Hindi as one of the subject.
3 TGT Mathematics:
  • B.A/ B.Sc/ B.Com with at least 50% marks in Mathematics as an elective subject and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2007 published on 31 August, 2009.
  • In case of B.Ed., Mathematics as a teaching subject from a recognized university.
  • Matric with Hindi/ Sanskrit or 10+2/ B.A/ M.A. with Hindi as one of the subject.
4 TGT English
  • B.A with at least 50% marks in English as an elective subject and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2007 notified on 31 August, 2009.
  • In case of B.Ed, English as a teaching subject from a recognized university.
  • Matric with Hindi/ Sanskrit or 10+2/ B.A/ M.A with Hindi as one of the subject.
5 TGT Hindi
  • B.A. with at least 50% marks in Hindi as an elective subject and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2007 notified on 31 August, 2009.
  • In case of B.Ed., Hindi as a teaching subject from a recognized university; (iii) Matric with Hindi/ Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A./M.A. with Hindi as one of the subject.
6 TGT Sanskrit
  • B.A. with at least 50% marks in Sanskrit as an elective subject and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2007 notified on 31 August, 2009 (ii) In case of B.Ed., Sanskrit as a teaching subject from a Recognized university.
  • Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A./M.A. with Hindi as one of the subject.
7 TGT Punjabi
  • B.A. with at least 50% marks in Punjabi as an elective subject and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2007 published on 31 August, 2009.
  • In case of B.Ed., Punjabi as teaching subject from a recognized university.
  • Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A./M.A. with Hindi as one of the subject.
8 TGT Urdu
  • B.A. with at least 50% marks in Urdu as an elective subject and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2007 published on 31
    August, 2009.
  • In case of B.Ed., Urdu as a teaching subject from a recognized university.
  • Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A./M.A. with Hindi as one of the subject.
9 TGT Physical Education
  • Graduation with Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or Diploma in Physical Education (D.P.Ed) or its equivalent from a recognized University.

10 TGT Home Science
  • B.Sc. Home Science and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
  • In case of B.A., at least 50% marks in Home Science as one of the elective subject

  • In case of B.A Music (instrumental/ vocal), at least 50% marks in Music as an Elective subject in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2007 notified on 31 August, 2009.
  • In case of B.Ed., Music as a teaching subject from a recognized university.
  • Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or 10+2/ B.A/ M.A with Hindi as one of the subject.

Level 3 Post Graduate Teacher (PGT)

For Level 3 post as Post graduate Teacher minimum qualification is a postgraduate along with others required depending upon the subjects he/she is applying for. HTET Age Criteria
