Eligibility Criteria

Age criteria
All the candidates who are interested in applying to the post of SEBI Grade A in the IT stream should be within the prescribed age limit. As per SEBI, a candidate should not have crossed the threshold of 30 years if he/she is willing to apply.

Age Relaxation

Exam Pattern
SEBI Grade A recruitment is the most awaited notification and is quite popular among job aspirants. Thus, it is extremely important to know all the important details related to the exam such as the SEBI Grade A 2022 exam pattern. The selection process for SEBI Grade A IT & all other streams will consist of three main phases as mentioned below.
- Phase 1 - Online examination
- Phase 2 - Online examination
- Phase 3 - Interview
Phase 1 Exam Pattern
SEBI Grade A Phase 1 for the IT recruitment process consists of an online examination that will be objective in nature. The online exam consists of two papers of 100 marks each, where Paper 1 will be common for all streams having multiple choice questions on various subjects like General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Test of Reasoning. Paper 2 will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) based on the specialized subject related to the Information Technology stream.

Phase 2 Exam Pattern
SEBI Grade A Phase 2 for the IT stream will consist of two papers carrying 100 marks each. Paper 1 will be Descriptive English which will be common for all the streams. Paper 2 will be a Coding Test of 100 marks and a time duration of 180 minutes will be allotted for the same.
- There will be no negative marking in Paper 2 of the IT stream.
- The paper will be available in both English and Hindi except for the test of English.

Phase 3: Interview
All the candidates who will clear SEBI Grade A Phase 2 will be called for the next stage i.e Interview. This will be the third and last phase of the SEBI selection process. You need to make sure that you do not miss out on any important information before you step in for the Interview. You have the option to choose either Hindi or English as your language medium for the Interview. The expected weightage of marks obtained in the SEBI Officer Grade A Phase 2 exam is 85%, while marks obtained in the Interview shall be given a weightage of 15%.

Job Profile
The candidates who will get selected as SEBI Grade A Officer will have to serve a probation period of two years before becoming permanent. Only after the successful completion of the probation period with a fair performance, the employees will be allowed to continue their services in SEBI as Assistant Managers. A SEBI Grade A Officer will be liable to be posted anywhere in the country wherever the offices of SEBI exist. The recruited officers may also be asked to serve any department irrespective of the stream he/she chooses. Some of the basic roles & responsibilities of a SEBI Grade A IT Officer are as follows-
