To be able to apply for any examination, you should meet the specified eligibility criteria. Therefore, to ensure successful completion of the SEBI Grade A 2020 application process, you should be eligible in all respects. You need to follow certain criteria available on the official notification of SEBI Grade A 2020 exam.

SEBI Grade A Educational Criteria

You need to comply with the educational criteria that are specified in the notification, or your application will be subjected to cancellation. To avoid any confusion, it is advised to check the educational eligibility details in the official notification. Details of the same are provided in the table below.

General Master’s Degree in any discipline, Bachelors’ Degree in Law, Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering from a recognized university, CA / CFA / CS / Cost Accountant.
Legal Bachelor’s Degree in Law
Information technology Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical / Electronics / Electronics And Communication / Information Technology / Computer Science) OR Masters in Computers Application OR Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a post graduate qualification (minimum 2 years duration) in Computers / Information Technology.
Civil Engineering Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
Electrical Engineering Bachelor’s Degree in Electric Engineering
Research Master’s Degree in Statistics / Economics / Commerce / Business Administration (Finance) / Econometrics from a recognized University / Institute;
Official Language Master’s Degree in Hindi with English as one of the subjects at Bachelor’s Degree level or Master’s Degree in Sanskrit / English / Economics / Commerce with Hindi as a subject at Bachelor’s Degree level from a recognized University / Institute.

SEBI Grade A Age Criteria

For applying to SEBI Grade A 2020 Exam, you must not be older than 30 years as on February 29, 2020 or that means that you should be born on or after March 01, 1990. This age criterion pertains to general category. You must visit the official notification of SEBI Grade A 2020 exam and confirm all the age-related criteria before filling the online application form of SEBI Grade A.

SEBI Grade A Age Relaxation

SEBI Grade A also provides age relaxation to candidates belonging to the reserved categories. This age relaxation is different for different categories. A candidate claiming age relaxation has to produce all the certificates in support as and when asked by SEBI. Failing to produce the same will lead to the cancellation of the SEBI Grade A 2020 application form.

SEBI Grade A Exam Dates Postponed Details

SEBI Grade A Eligibility Criteria

Due to the ongoing pandemic COVID-19, SEBI had extended online registration many times. It finally released exam dates for Phase 1 and Phase 2 exam. SEBI Grade A Phase 1 was held on January 17, 2021 and the result of the same has been announced recently. SEBI Grade Phase 2 exam is scheduled for February 27, 2021. Any further updates on the SEBI Grade A  exam will be notified. 

Eligibility criteria for Persons with Physical Disabilities

Persons with Benchmark Disabilities are given some relaxation in age and fee.The specified disabilities mentioned below will be subject to relaxation in SEBI Grade A Eligibility 2020 Criteria.

  • Blindness and Low Vision
  • Deaf and Hard of Hearing
  • Locomotor Disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy
  • Autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness, v. Multiple disabilities
  • Other disabilities (as per Rights of Persons With Disabilities Act, 2016)

Can those students who are appearing in final year of Graduation apply for any post in SEBI Grade ‘A’ recruitment?

Yes. Candidates who have appeared for the final examinations and waiting for the results are eligible to appear for the Phase I, Phase II and Phase III of the selection process.

In SEBI Grade ‘A’ exam, can I choose Hindi language as the exam language?

Yes, SEBI Grade ‘A’ exam is bilingual (i.e, Hindi & English). You can choose your preferred language either Hindi or English. Please note that all the questions other than the Test of Descriptive English Phase 2-Paper 1 are available in both Hindi & English Language.

There is no such limit on the number of attempts for SEBI Grade ‘A’ exam. You can appear for this exam till the time they are eligible according to the eligibility criteria provided by SEBI in the notification.
