SEBI Grade A (Assistant Manager) Eligibility Criteria

To ensure successful completion of the SEBI Grade A Officer recruitment 2022, you should be eligible in all respects. You need to follow certain SEBI Grade A eligibility criteria 2022 as discussed in detail below.

Educational Criteria

To avoid any confusion, it is advised to check the detailed SEBI Grade A educational qualification as provided in the table below. Your candidature will be cancelled if at any stage it is found that you do not meet the required SEBI Grade A qualifications. 

StreamEducational Criteria
General Master’s Degree in any discipline, Bachelors’ Degree in Law, Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering from a recognized university, CA / CFA / CS / CWA.
Legal Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University / Institute.
Information Technology
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical / Electronics / Electronics And Communication / Information Technology / Computer Science) OR Masters in Computers Application
    OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a post graduate qualification (minimum 2 years duration) in Computers / Information Technology.
Research Master’s Degree in Statistics / Economics / Commerce / Business Administration (Finance) / Econometrics from a recognized University / Institute.
Official Language Master’s Degree in Hindi with English as one of the subjects at Bachelor’s Degree level or Master’s Degree in Sanskrit / English / Economics / Commerce with Hindi as a subject at Bachelor’s Degree level from a recognized University / Institute.

You can apply for more than one stream in the SEBI Grade A recruitment 2022. If you are applying for more than one stream, you need to fill separate online application form and application fee. You may be posted to any department of SEBI, irrespective of the stream in which you have got selected.

Age Criteria

Before filling out the SEBI Grade A online application form, ensure you fulfil SEBI Grade A age criteria as mentioned below in detail. For applying to the SEBI Grade A 2022, you must not be older than 30 years, if you are a general category candidate.

Grade A (Assistant Manager) A candidate must not have exceeded the age of 30 years as on December 31, 2021 i.e., candidate must have been born on or after January 01, 1992.

Age Relaxation

SEBI Grade A also provides age relaxation to candidates belonging to the reserved categories. This age relaxation is different for different categories. A candidate claiming age relaxation has to produce all the certificates in support as and when asked by SEBI. Failing to produce the same will lead to your disqualification from the SEBI Grade A 2022.

Note: OBC candidates coming under the 'creamy layer' are not entitled to any reservation and should indicate their category as ‘Unreserved’. If no vacancy is reserved for OBC/SC/ST/EWS category candidates, they can still apply but will not be eligible for any relaxation. SC/ ST candidates are exempted from the application fees in such case but they need to pay the specified intimation charges.

Eligibility criteria for Persons with Physical Disabilities

Persons with Benchmark Disabilities are given some relaxation in age and fee. The specified disabilities mentioned below will be subject to relaxation in SEBI Grade A recruitment.

  • Blindness and Low Vision
  • Deaf and Hard of Hearing
  • Locomotor Disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims, and muscular dystrophy
  • Autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability, and mental illness, v. Multiple disabilities
  • Other disabilities (as per Rights of Persons With Disabilities Act, 2016)

PwBD candidates belonging to any category (i.e. GEN/ SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWSs) will be eligible for age relaxation. In case no suitable candidate with benchmark disability is available for filling up the reserved vacancy, SEBI may recruit a candidate other than a Person with Benchmark Disability.
