Grade B (Legal Officer & Technical Managers)
As per the notification released recently, the Legal Officer in Grade B posts and the Technical Manager post for Civil and Electrical follow a similar exam pattern. This means that the exam is divided into three phases with Phase I and II being the written exam. Phase 1 will be an objective exam.
On the other hand, Phase II will be a Written descriptive exam. There will also be a technical paper if it is applicable. Once you clear these stages comes the most important part after the written exam is Phase III which is the interview.
Grade A (Rajbhasha & Protocol & Security)
According to the notification, the Grade A Rajbhasha and Protocol Security Officer roles also follow an exam pattern similar in structure. Like the Grade B exams, they too have three Phases with Phase I being an objective test and Phase II being a descriptive one In Phase II there would be more emphasis on Official Language for the Rajbhasha exam . Those who clear both these phases qualify for the Phase III which is the interview.
The detailed exam structure varies depending on the role. For instance, the Rajbhasha candidates face a two-paper scheme: a 150-mark objective paper and a 50-mark descriptive translation exam.
