SEBI Grade A Rajbhasha Educational Qualification

To be eligible for SEBI Grade A Officer under the Official Language stream, you should possess certain educational qualifications as given below.

SEBI Grade A Rajbhasha Exam Pattern

It is extremely important to know the SEBI Grade A exam pattern for the Official Language stream before you prepare for it. Therefore, we have provided the SEBI Grade A selection process of the previous year, to give you a brief idea of the same. The Official Language stream will consist of three main phases.

  • Phase 1 - Online examination
  • Phase 2 - Online examination
  • Phase 3 - Interview

There will be a negative marking of 1/4th of the marks allotted to each question. The paper will be bilingual in nature i.e. English and Hindi except for the test in the English Language.

Phase 1 Exam Pattern

SEBI Grade A exam pattern for Rajbhasha Adhikari Phase 1 is an objective type online exam. The SEBI Grade A Phase 1 consists of two papers of 100 marks each. Paper 1 of SEBI Grade A Phase 1 is common for all streams with multiple-choice questions. Paper 2 also has MCQs based on the specialized subject i.e Official Language. The exam pattern of SEBI Grade A for Official Language Phase 2 consists of two papers carrying 100 marks each. SEBI Grade A Phase 2 Paper 1 is Descriptive English and common for all. SEBI Grade A Interview

If you clear the SEBI Grade A Phase 2, you will be called for an Interview. You can choose either Hindi or English as the medium of language in the SEBI Grade A Interview. The final merit will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the SEBI Grade A Phase 2 and Interview round. The SEBI Officer Grade A Phase 2 exam weightage is 85%, while the Interview weightage is 15%.

SEBI Grade A Rajbhasha Salary

One of the reasons why SEBI Grade A Rajbhasha is preferred by a lot of young individuals is that along with job security, it provides a handsome salary. SEBI Grade A salary structure 2023 has been changed with effect from November 1, 2017. So, presently, the basic pay of a SEBI Grade A Officer has been increased from Rs 28,150 to Rs 44,500 / month. SEBI Grade B Rajbhasha Job Profile

After a candidate gets selected as a SEBI Grade A Rajbhasha Officer, he/she will be designated as an Assistant Manager and will be on a probation period of 2 years.

The postings will be in SEBI’s headquarter located in Mumbai during the training period.

A SEBI Grade A Officer is promoted every 5-6 years depending on performance.

Please note that you can be posted and transferred to any location in India where SEBI has its Offices and to any department, irrespective of your stream.

A SEBI Grade A Rajbhasha Officer has to take up various responsibilities. Some basic duties and responsibilities of a SEBI Grade A Rajbhasha Officer are as follows:

  • To arrange and conduct training programs/workshops for other bank officials with respect to the usage of the official language.
