To be eligible for SEBI Grade A Officer under the Official Language stream, you should possess certain educational qualifications as given below. You should be a Post Graduate in any of the Languages as mentioned in the table.

There will be a negative marking of 1/4th of the marks allotted to each question. The paper will be bilingual in nature ie English and Hindi except the test of English Language.
SEBI Grade A exam pattern for Rajbhasha Adhikari Phase 1 is an objective type online exam. The SEBI Grade A Phase 1 consists of two papers of 100 marks each. Paper 1 of SEBI Grade A Phase 1 is common for all streams with multiple choice questions on sections like Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness and English Language. You need to secure a separate cut-off in each paper as mentioned in the table as well as aggregate cut-off marks of 40% in the Phase 1 exam to be shortlisted for SEBI Grade A Phase 2.
Exam pattern of SEBI Grade A for Official Language Phase 2 consists of two papers carrying 100 marks each. SEBI Grade A Phase 2 Paper 1 is Descriptive English and common for all. SEBI Grade A Phase 2 of Rajbhasha stream Paper 2 is multiple choice questions based on the specialized stream. You need to secure a separate cut-off in each paper as mentioned in the table besides scoring aggregate cut-off marks of 50% in Phase 2 to be shortlisted for Phase 3.
If you clear the SEBI Grade A Phase 2, you will be called for an Interview. You can choose either Hindi or English as the medium of language in the SEBI Grade A Interview. The final merit will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the SEBI Grade A Phase 2 and Interview round. The SEBI Officer Grade A Phase 2 exam weightage is 85%, while the Interview weightage is 15%.
Note: If you are called for SEBI Assistant Manager Interview under the EWS category, you need to submit an EWS certificate.

A SEBI Grade A Rajbhasha Officer have to take up various responsibilities. The job profile can also depend on the place/department where posted. Some basic duties and responsibilities of a SEBI Grade A Rajbhasha Officer are as follows:
- To ensure that the official language (Hindi) is used effectively in all official communications along with English.
- To arrange and conduct the training programmes/workshops for other bank officials with respect to the usage of the official language.
- To ensure that the circulars and notices to be sent around various branches are compiled properly in both English and Hindi language.
- To translate the official documents into the Hindi language.
