SSC MTS Exam Highlights 2025
SSC conducts the SSC MTS & Havaldar Exam annually to recruit Multi-Tasking Staff (Non-Technical) and Havaldar positions across various ministries, departments, and offices of the Government of India. Selected candidates serve in Pay Level-1 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix, handling clerical and operational duties.
The 2025 notification was released on 26 June 2025. Online applications are open from 26 June to 24 July 2025, with fee payment by 25 July and corrections allowed until 31 July.
The Computer-Based Examination will run from 20 September to 24 October 2025. Session-I tests numerical ability and reasoning (40 questions, 120 marks), while Session-II covers general awareness and English comprehension (50 questions, 150 marks).

Havaldar candidates qualifying the CBE in a 1:7 ratio will undergo a Physical Efficiency/Standard Test. Final selection for MTS is based on the CBE score, while Havaldar merit combines CBE performance and PET/PST results.
