SSC MTS Exam Pattern 2024
The SSC MTS exam pattern consists of a compulsory Computer Based Examination or CBE. This CBE is divided into two different sessions that are mandatory for candidates applying for the Multi-Tasking Staff and Havaldar posts. Additionally, those candidates who have applied for the SSC Havaldar posts need to also undergo the Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/Physical Standard Test (PST). The PET and PST are mandatory only for those candidates who have applied for the Havaldar posts.

SSC MTS Syllabus: Computer Based Examination
The CBE is divided into two separate sessions, each comprising multiple-choice questions. It is mandatory to attempt both sessions on the same day to qualify for the further stages of the recruitment process. Candidates should be well-versed in the SSC MTS syllabus to ensure their preparation aligns with the demands of the exam.
The Computer Based Examination is conducted in two sessions. The SSC MTS syllabus for Session-I includes the subjects of Numerical and Mathematical Ability, and Reasoning Ability and Problem Solving. Each of these subjects comprises 20 questions, with a maximum of 60 marks allotted for each subject. The duration for completing Session-I is 45 minutes. However, candidates eligible for scribes will be given an extended duration of 60 minutes to complete this session. The SSC MTS syllabus for Session-II of the CBE covers the subjects of General Awareness, and English Language and Comprehension, with 25 questions and 75 marks allotted for each subject. Similar to Session-I, candidates are provided 45 minutes to complete this section, with eligible scribes receiving 60 minutes.
There is no negative marking in Session-I of the SSC MTS exam pattern, which allows candidates to attempt all questions without the fear of losing marks for incorrect responses. However, in Session-II, there is a penalty of one mark for every wrong answer, making it crucial for candidates to carefully consider each answer before submission. The questions in the SSC MTS CBE will be set in English, Hindi, and 13 regional languages for Session-I and the General Awareness section of Session-II, as stated in the SSC MTS syllabus. In case the examination is conducted in multiple shifts, the marks will be normalized according to the Commission’s standard procedure to ensure fairness in determining the final merit and cut-off marks. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for SSC MTS Havaldar
It is also important for you to know that in the SSC MTS Exam Pattern, and there is no SSC MTS Syllabus for that. But as recruitment procedure, a candidate has to qualify for the PET/ PST standards for the post of Havaldar in CBIC and CBN. Also, women candidates who are 12 weeks pregnant shall be declared temporarily unfit.

Physical Standard Test (PST) - for the post of Havaldar
The Physical Standard Test (PST) is designed to evaluate the physical parameters of the candidates. Male candidates must have a minimum height of 157.5 cm, with relaxations provided for certain categories such as Garhwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas, and members of Schedule Tribes. Additionally, they must have a chest measurement of 81 cm with a minimum expansion of 5 cm. Female candidates must have a minimum height of 152 cm and a weight of at least 48 kg, with relaxations for specific categories. PET/PST will be conducted at various centers by CBIC/CBN as per the SSC MTS syllabus and requirements, and candidates may be called for PET/PST at any center across the country. It is important to note that PwBD candidates are exempt from these tests.

SSC MTS Marking Scheme 2024
Along with knowing the SSC MTS Syllabus and Exam Pattern, it also important for you to know the marking pattern of it. From CBT to PET, there is a marking parameter of all the stages of the SSC MTS Exam. SSC has mentioned a certain marking scheme for SSC MTS 2024 exam. There will be no negative marking in Session 1.
