    UP Police Notification 2021 has been released by UPPRPB to recruit 9534 vacancies. This notification has been issued for Sub Inspector, Platoon Commander, and Fire Officer posts. The application window of the UP Police SI exam along with other posts is now closed. The exam date of the UP Police Sub Inspector exam 2021 will be informed in due course.     Exam Pattern 2025

    The selection process of UP Police Recruitment comprises 3 phases

    • Phase-1: Online Written Exam
    • Phase-2: Documentation & Physical Standard Test (PST)
    • Phase-3: Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

    UP Police online written exam will be an objective type exam. A total of 160 questions will be asked for 400 marks. The UP Police Exam Pattern comprises of General Hindi, Law/ Constitution and General Knowledge, Numerical & Mental Ability Test and Mental Aptitude Test/Intelligence Test/Test of Reasoning. Please note that there is no negative marking. The online written exam will be followed by a Physical Standard test and a Physical Efficiency Test.

    Syllabus 2021

    It is essential to have correct knowledge regarding the syllabus as this can make or break your preparation. The syllabus of UP Police exam 2021 comprises four sections namely General Hindi, Law/ Constitution and General Knowledge, Numerical & Mental Ability Test, Mental Aptitude Test/Intelligence Test/Test of Reasoning.     Eligibility Criteria 

    In order to apply for the UP Police SI Recruitment 2021 along with the Platoon Commander post, you must possess a basic Graduation Degree in any discipline (B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, B.Tech or as such) from UGC recognized University/Institute. In case you are applying for Fire Officer, you should be a Science graduate from a recognized board/university. Any candidate applying for the UP Police exam 2021 must be in between 21 and 28 years of age (as on July 01, 2021)

    Upper age relaxation shall be provided to SC/ST and other reserved category candidates as per the Govt norms.

    Exam Dates 2025

    UPPRPB has issued a notification for Sub Inspector, Platoon Commander, and Fire Officer posts on February 25, 2021. The application window of the same was open from April 01, 2021, to June 15, 2021. The online written exam date for the UP Police exam has not been announced yet.     No. The additional/preferential qualification will only be considered in case two or more candidates score equal marks.
    Yes. A physical standard test will take place for the Sub Inspector posts for UP Police SI recruitment.
    The online written exam of the UP Police SI exam contains a total of 400 questions. Each section contains 100 marks. 
    Yes, the online written exam for all three posts is common, therefore, the syllabus remains the same.
    Yes. The candidates who are already working in a Central/State Government job will be eligible to apply for UP Police SI recruitment. To do so, they will have to ask for a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer and produce it as and when required.
    Yes. You will be eligible to apply for UP Police SI recruitment even if you do not have the domicile of UP.
    No. Any such male candidate who is not able to produce UP’s domicile certificate will not be eligible for relaxation under their category and will be treated as unreserved candidates. In this case, if such a candidate scores fewer marks than the cut-off marks for unreserved candidates, he will be disqualified from the further stages of UP Police SI recruitment.
    No, such female candidates will not be eligible for the UP Police SI relaxation under their category. If these female candidates are able to score equal or more marks than the cut-off marks for the unreserved category, they will be considered qualified for the next stages.
    Yes. There will be a medical examination after the final merit list will be declared. This will be done in order to check if the candidate does/does not suffer from any kind of physical or mental illness.
