UP Police Sub Inspector 2025 Eligibility Criteria

To ensure successful completion of the UP Police SI exam 2025 application process, it is essential to confirm your eligibility first. There are various parameters based on which a candidate is considered eligible for applying to any particular post.

Educational Qualification
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized university or institution. This is the basic requirement for applying for the SI post. Those with equivalent qualifications from recognized institutions are also eligible.

Age Limit
The minimum age for applicants is 21 years. The maximum age is 28 years as of 1st July 2025.
Candidates from reserved categories such as SC/ST/OBC can avail of the age relaxation as per government norms, which will be determined as per the rules applicable to different categories.

Age Relaxation

* The age of ex-servicemen should not exceed the prescribed age limit by more than 3 years, less the period of service rendered in the Army, from their actual age.
UP Police SI Physical Standard Test
Candidates must meet the physical standards set by the recruitment board, which includes specific height, chest measurements, and physical fitness parameters. These requirements are different for male and female candidates.
The physical fitness of candidates will be tested during the Physical Standard Test (PST) after the written examination.
