Army Public School or APS is an organization that imparts education to the children of Indian Armed Forces Personnel. APS is a non profit private organisation managed by AWES(Army Welfare Education Society ) with Chief of the Army Staff and Regional Army Commanders forming its governing body.Its neither Government nor a Semi Government Organization. There are 137 Army Public Schools and 239 Army Pre Primary Schools across India. APS has recently invited applications from eligible indian citizens to fill vacancies to various posts of Post Graduate Teachers(PGTs) , Trained Graduate Teachers(TGTs) and Primary Teacher(PRT) in its various Army Public School.

APS EXAM NOTIFICATION

Army Public School or APS has released the notification to fill approximately 8000 vacancies for various posts across India, though the exact number of vacancies available in the respective school will be announced by the Management /School later. The candidate who possesses the essential qualification and are eligible can start applying online.The registration link has been activated from 1st September 2019. It's a golden opportunity for all those aspirants who wanted to make their career in the government sector. Interested candidate can start applying online to avoid a last minute rush. A written examination will be held in the month of October.

APS EXAM PATTERN

APS has released approximately 8000 vacancies to apply and it is a good chance for all aspirants who wanted tostart their career in the Government Sector. The APS Exam will be conducted online and will be in the multiple choice question format which consists of the following sections- General Awareness, Mental Ability,English Comprehension , Educational Concepts and Methodology (Part A) and Questions specific to subject (Part B)for PGT/TGT . For PRT there is only Part A which consist of - General Awareness , Mental Ability ,English Comprehension, Educational Concepts and Methodology. PGT/TGT Aspirants who fail in Part B but pass in Part A can opt for PRT Post .

  • For each wrong answer ¼ th marks will be deducted and the final scores will be normalized to 100.
  • The candidate must score minimum 50% marks in each section to qualify.
  • Candidates have choice to answer the question in whichever order they prefer irrespective of which part appears first.
  • Candidates who qualify the online test can apply in the respectiveArmy School of their region or of another region as per the announcement of vacancies.
  • For Language Teachers , along with evaluation of teaching skills a written test comprising of essay and comprehension of 15 marks will be held . A Computer Efficiency test can also be takenif decided by the section committee.
  • TGT papers of Science and Social Science will have some questions pertaining to parallel subjects ie History Paper will have some questions related to geography and social science and so on.

APS Salary

Since the APSis governed by the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES)so the perks and benefits and other facilities will all be under their discretion but still it is lucrative and good. The entry level total salary for APSPGT is approximately Rs.36942 which may go higher in later stage. Similarly the entry level total salary for APS TGT is approximately Rs.36418 and for APS PRT it is approximately Rs 35370.

APS Exam How To Apply

A candidate needs to apply through proper channel in order to avoid rejection of the application form. The online process for the APS 2019 EXAM is simple and a candidate can follow the steps given below if he/she is unaware of the procedure. The detailed steps are as follows-

  • Fill the personal information given in the application form.
  • An online fees has to be paid through Debit card/ Credit Card /Net Banking
  • After the payment the candidate should attach the following documents -
  • Photograph and signature , date of birth proof , educational qualification certificates.
  • After the registration is complete , a confirmation message will be sent in the respective phone number and email id .
  • A help line number is provided in case a candidate have any query and to make candidate familiar with the online test a link will be provided in the registration portal from 4th to 13th October.
  • An application fee of Rs 500 is to be paid by the candidate which is non refundable.

APS Exam Admit Card

Admit card for APS Exam will be available online. No hard copies will be sent to the candidate. Candidate will have to take out a print of the admit card and have to produce the same while appearing for the online exam. All the instruction provided in the admit card should be read thoroughly by the candidate.

APS Previous Year Cut Off

A candidate is required to score minimum 50% marks in each part to be eligible for further selection process. A candidate should remember that scoring 50% marks in each part of APS Exam does not guarantee his/her recruitment in the APS School. Besides this minimum cut off a candidate must also possess all the essential qualification and experiencethat will be announced by the respective APS School in later period of time after the online examination process gets over
