Exam Pattern

The Agriculture Insurance Company of India Limited (AIC) recruitment for the posts of MT & Hindi Officer (Scale 1) is a valuable opportunity for all the government job aspirants.   • Phase 1 - Online examination
  • Phase 2 - Interview

Phase 1: Online Examination

The AIC MT (Agriculture Sciences) selection process consists of an online written examination which will include both ‘objective’ & ‘descriptive’ type questions. There will be a total of 150 questions and the time allotted will be a total of 150 minutes. The time will be separately divided into sectional timings among all the respective sections.

  • There will be six sections out of which one of them will be a ‘descriptive’ type test which will test the essay / precis / comprehension skills of the candidates.
  • There will be one section which will test the Professional knowledge of the candidates in Agriculture Sciences.
  • The minimum qualifying marks in the online examination will be 60% for the General, OBC & EWS, and 55% for SC/ST categories.
  • There will be negative marking of 1/4th of the marks allotted to a question.
  • The exam will be bilingual except for the test of English Language.

Phase 2: Personal Interview

The Phase 2 of AIC Management Trainee selection process will be the Interview stage. The candidates who are able to clear the Phase 1 exam will have to appear in a Personal Interview. The number of candidates that will be called for the Interview will be about three times the number of vacancies to be filled in subject to the availability of successful candidates.

The marks allotted to the personal interview are 50. The company reserves the right to fix the minimum marks to qualify for the interview.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

The basic educational qualification required for the AIC Management Trainee (Agricultural Sciences) is a Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Agriculture/Horticulture/Agriculture Engineering. The degrees need to be obtained from a recognized university and should have attained at least 60% marks.

Age Relaxation

The AIC will be providing certain relaxation in the upper age limit of the reserved category candidates. The OBC category candidates will be eligible for relaxation only if they belong to the ‘non-creamy layer’. Check out the details below:

A Management Trainee will have to attend a training period of 2 years and after the completion of this period will be posted as Administrative Officer (Scale 1). If the performance of the candidate is found unsatisfactory, he/she might be terminated during the training period.

  • Candidates selected as Management Trainees will be on a probation period of 1 year. This might also be extended for a further period of 6 months.
  • The selected candidates will also have to give an Undertaking-cum-Guarentee Bond which gives the bank a guarantee from these candidates to serve the company for a minimum period of 4 years including the probation period.
  • If a candidate tends to resign from the post in AIC during the probation period, you will have to deposit the total amount of salary received until that time of training including an additional amount of Rs 50,000.
