The candidates must possess the following eligibility criteria to be eligible to apply for NIC Recruitment 2023. Those who wish to apply for one of the many positions made available through the NIC Recruitment 2023 announcement must meet the requirements for eligibility outlined in the NIC 2023 notification. Candidates must attain the basic qualification as under to apply for NIC Recruitment 2023.

NIC Recruitment 2023 Age Limit (as on March 04, 2023)

The age limit of applicants for NIC Recruitment 2023 for all posts (Scientist B, Scientific Officer/Engineer-SB and Scientific/Technical Assistant-A) is as:

  • Minimum Age Limit – 18 years
  • Maximum Age Limit – 30 years

Upper Age Limit Relaxation

Age Relaxation benefit for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/ESM candidates is applicable as per the Govt. Norms.

Nationality 

A Candidate must be either: 

  • a citizen of India, or 
  • a subject of Nepal, or 
  • a subject of Bhutan, or 
  • a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or 
  • a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. 

Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
