In the Tier-II exam, candidates need to score a minimum of 20 out of 50 marks for the Security Assistant/Executive position and 16 out of 40 marks for the Multi-Tasking Staff/General category to qualify.

IB SA/MT and MTS Tier II Exam

Candidates who qualify for the Tier 1 exam will be called for the Tier 2 exam. So, the Tier 2 exam, the exam is divided into two parts. Part 1 is for both the Security Assistant and Multit Tasking Staff posts, but part 2 is only for the Security Assistant posts. 

Exam Pattern of IB SA/MTS Tier II 
PartDescription 
Part 1 (Common for both Posts)In the offline descriptive test, you’ll be required to translate a 500-word passage from the local language/dialect to English, as well as vice versa. This test carries a maximum of 40 marks, and you’ll have one hour to complete it.
Part 2 (Only for Security Assistant Post)Oral communication skills will be evaluated during the Tier-III exam, which includes the interview and personality test.

The Tier-II examination serves as a qualifying stage. To pass this stage, candidates must achieve a minimum score of 20 out of 50 for the Security Assistant/Executive (SA/Exe) category and 16 out of 40 for the General category of Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS).

IB SA/MT and MTS Tier III (Personality Test/ Interview) 

Candidates who successfully clear both Tier 1 and Tier 2 examinations will be invited for an interview conducted by the Intelligence Bureau, which carries a weightage of 50 marks. This interview is the last phase of the selection process, and individuals who pass this stage will be selected to fill the available vacancies.
