For the Economic and Social Issues section, it is extremely important to have a basic knowledge of the Indian economy. The ideal way to prepare for this section is to study the NCERT of class 11th and 12th. Along with that one can refer to a book by Ramesh Singh on Indian Economy and for Sociology, one can refer to a book by CN Shankar Rao.

For the Agriculture section, a book named Agriculture at a Glance by R K Sharma and B K Bhoi will help and for the Rural Development section, a book named Rural Development by GPH panel of experts can be taken into consideration for preparing the Agriculture and Rural Development section. Other than these basic books one should also be aware of the current economic and social issues and about rural development happening in the country.
