SSC or Staff Selection Commission has just released the notification for SSC MTS Recruitment 2019 and the examination is expected to be held from 2nd August 2019 to 6th September 2019. SSC being a government organization, conducts various examinations to recruit eligible candidates in various government departments and ministries and therefore SSC recruitment is the most awaited one among all the job aspirants. SSC MTS 2019 Exam Pattern

SSC follows a proper two or three stage process with respect to all its examinations. SSC MTS also consists of two major stages having Paper I and Paper II which is further followed by a final ‘Document Verification’ stage.

  • Paper I is an online objective test.
  • Paper II is an offline descriptive test.

SSC MTS Paper I Exam Pattern

SSC MTS Paper I is a computer-based test with objective type questions which consists of four subjects:General Intelligence & Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, General English and General Awareness. All the subjects are allotted equal marks and all the sections are supposed to be completed in a cumulative timing of 90 minutes.

  • The number of questions in General English and General Awareness have been reduced to 25 from the earlier number of 50.
  • There will also be a negative marking of 0.25 marks.
  • The scores obtained in Paper I will be normalized by SSC and then will be considered in the final merit list.

SSC MTS Paper II Exam Pattern

SSC MTS Paper II is an offline descriptive test which will be conducted in pen and paper mode. This test assesses your writing skills where you will have to write an essay and a letter and the time duration will be 30 minutes. The candidates will have to write the essay and letter in either English or any other language as mentioned in the VIIth schedule of the constitution.

  • There will not be any negative marking in this paper.
  • Paper II will be of qualifying nature.
  • Paper II is meant for only those candidates who manage to qualify Paper I cut-off.
  • Marks obtained in Paper II will only be considered if there is a case of two students scoring same normalized marks in Paper I.

SSC MTS Final Selection

The candidates who qualify SSC MTS Paper I and Paper II and thus appear in the final merit list will be required to appear for Document Verification where they will have to produce the original documents. Candidates will be required to bring two passport size recent coloured photographs

Along with one original photo ID proof while appearing for the Document Verification.
