On December 23, 2021, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) released a notification for filling up various vacancies in Group B and Group C in different Ministries/Departments/Organisations of Government of India and various Constitutional Bodies/Statutory Bodies/Tribunals, etc. The SSC CGL exam is conducted every year to recruit eligible candidates.

SSC CGL 2020 Exam Pattern Details

The SSC CGL exam is conducted in four phases-

  • Computer Based Exam- Tier 1
  • Computer Based Exam- Tier 2
  • Pen and Paper Mode (Descriptive Paper)- Tier 3
  • Computer Proficiency Test/Skill Test/Document Verification- Tier 4

SSC CGL 2020 Exam Analysis

In Tier 1 Exam the candidates are evaluated on the basis of 4 subjects-

  • General Intelligence & Reasoning
  • General Awareness
  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • English Comprehension

In the following section we will examine each subject carefully.

English Language

It is evident from the table below that the questions have been asked from the basic grammar topics and there was no Reading Comprehension. This makes the level of the English language section easy.
