Do you ever feel you’re lagging behind in your career because you don’t have a strong background in English? Have you quit your dream to work a government job because of the English section of the paper? Do you think government jobs are too competitive and you are unable to make your space in a sea of aspirants? Were you unable to crack a competitive exam like IBPS RRB in the past because the level of the exam was too tough?

In case you have left your dream to work a government job like IBPS RRB behind you, it’s time to reawaken your dream and give it another chance. The IBPS RRB is a rare opportunity for aspirants to make their dreams a reality

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is expected to release the exam notification for IBPS Clerk (Office Assistant) for Regional Rural Banks (RRB) in a couple of months time. With applications opening soon, there is no time to waste—this could be your chance to land your dream banking job.

7 Reasons Why You Should Not Miss The IBPS RRB Exams

  1. English is optional: Firstly, let’s remove the elephant from the room. The English language section of the IBPS RRB paper is optional. You can opt for either English or Hindi. So, if you feel your background in English is lacking, you can choose Hindi for your language section.
  2. Easy level of assessment: Since the IBPS RRB openings are for PO and Clerical posts, the overall level of assessment ranges from easy to moderate. There is a Preliminary exam followed by a Mains paper if you clear the former.
  3. No interview: For the IBPS RRB Clerk exam, there are only two levels of assessment- Prelims and Mains. There is no interview.
  4. Proficiency in local language: For the IBPS PO and Clerk posts, candidates need to have studied the state’s local language only until Class 8 from a Government recognized Board or School. For candidates who do not meet this requirement, they will be given a period of 6 months to acquire this basic level of proficiency.
  5. No Descriptive English paper: There is no paper on Descriptive English in the IBPS RRB PO exam that is generally the main issue that discourages candidates from appearing for this exam. With the main thorn out of your way, the road to your dream job is as smooth as silk.
  6. No sectional timing: For the Clerk and PO exams of IBPS RRB, candidates are given a composite time of 45 minutes for the Prelims paper and 120 minutes for the Mains paper. There is no sectional division of time. This is why you can use the time you save in one section in another. Similarly, you can divide your time to work on the subjectively easier sections first and save the larger chunk of your time for the sections you feel will need more of your time.
  7. Large Number of Vacancies: Every year, there are a significant number of vacancies for the IBPS RRB role across all scales. Such a large number of vacancies is very rarely announced so you should make the most of this opportunity once it makes itself clear.
