The National Recruitment Agency (NRA) will conduct a Common Eligibility Test (CET) for all candidates who wish to work in the public sector. This common exam, will be a screening test that will replace the Prelims and/or Tier 1 exam that is separately conducted as part of each recruitment exam for various central government jobs. In essence, the CET is a single, online Preliminary exam.

Which exams are covered under NRA CET?
The NRA CET exam will cover all exams conducted by the following 3 organisations.
- Staff Selection Commission (SSC)
- Railway Recruitment Board (RRB)
- Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS)
NRA CET 2022: Eligibility
The NRA CET can be taken at 3 stages of education.
- Matriculation, i.e., Class 10
- Higher Secondary, i.e., Class 12
Therefore, candidates who satisfy the education requirement for the exam will be eligible to take it.
NRA CET Exam Pattern 2022
The expected NRA CET Exam Pattern 2022 is provided in the table below.

- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 mark for each answer.
- The exam will be conducted for a total of 120 minutes.

- The NRA CET exam will be held twice a year.
- The score earned in this exam will be valid for 3 years.
- All tests will be Computer-Based Tests (CBT) with MCQ-type questions.
- The exam will be conducted in 12 languages including Hindi and English.
- There is no official website for NRA CET at present.
