The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is an apex financial organization. It functions as a regulator for the Indian Banking industry. The RBI Assistant is a clerical level job for which graduate candidates can apply. While we await the RBI Assistant Notification for 2021, let us review the General Awareness section of the Mains paper for this exam. 

RBI Assistant 2021: General Awareness 

General Awareness is assessed in the Mains paper for the RBI Assistant exam. There are a total of 40 questions asked for 40 marks. Of the 135 minutes of the total exam duration, this section is allotted 25 minutes.

RBI Assistant 2021: General Awareness Analysis

If we dissect the previous years’ question papers, we will see that some topics are given more importance than others in the exam. From the aforementioned list of prescribed topics, we can say that the following three sections are given more importance than others. 

  1. Financial, Economic and Banking Awareness 
  2. Current affairs (includes news related to Reserve Bank of India)
  3. Static GK

This is not to say that other topics can be ignored during the preparation. Since this is a Banking job exam, it is a given that a good number of questions will be assessed from Financial and Banking Awareness.

RBI Assistant 2021: General Awareness Section-wise division 

Now that we know the most important topics for the GA section of the exam, you know that the highest number of questions are asked from the three aforementioned sections.
