Time taken by Jatin to complete the work = 5/0.2 = 25 days Time taken by Ankit to complete the work = (25 + 5) = 30 days Time taken by Ramesh to complete the work = 30/1.2 = 25 days Let the total work = 150 units Efficiency of Jatin = 150/25 = 6 units/day Efficiency of Ankit = 150/30 = 5 units/day Efficiency of Ramesh = 150/25 = 6 units/day Work done by Jatin, Ankit and Ramesh in 3 days = (6 + 5 + 6 + 5 + 6 + 5 + 6) = 39 units Work done by Jatin, Ankit and Ramesh in 7.5 days = 39 × 2 + 6 + 5 + 5.5 = 94.5 units Remaining work = 150 – 94.5 = 55.5 units Required time taken by Ankit = 55.5/5 = 11.1 days
