Question
A group of 16 women can complete a certain job in 48 days, working 7 hours each day. How many women would be required to complete the same job in 32 days, if they work 12 hours per day?
Solution
Let the efficiency of a woman = 'x' units/hour
Then, total work = 16 X x X 7 X 48 = '5376x' units
So, number of women required to complete the same job in 32 days working 12 hours a day
= 5376x Γ· (32 X 12) = 14
