Question
A team of 6 workers, each working 8 hours per day, can
build a 200-metre-long wall in 15 days. How many workers would be needed to construct a 300-metre-long wall in 9 days if each worker only works 4 hours per day?Solution
Let required number of men be ‘X’
Using {(men × hours × days)/work} = constant
{(6 × 8 × 15)/200} = {(X × 4 × 9)/300}
Or, {(6 × 8 × 15 × 1.5)/36} = X
Or, X = 30
