Question
A is four times as efficient as B and can finish a piece
of work in 33 days less than B. B can finish this work in how many days?Solution
Ratio of efficiency of A and B = 4: 1
A will take 1/4 of time as compared to B.
Say, B takes 4x days and A takes x days.
∴ 4x – x = 33 ⇒ x = 11
∴ B takes 11 × 4 = 44 days to do the work.
