    I. x3 = 1728 => x = 12 II. y2 – 15y + 56 = 0 => y2 – 7y – 8y + 56 = 0 => y(y – 7) – 8(y – 7) = 0 => (y – 7) (y – 8) = 0 => y = 7, 8 Hence, x > y.
