Question
A can complete a work in 10 days and B can complete it in 15 days. In how many days will they complete the work together?
Solution
In 1 day, A does 1/10 of work, B does 1/15 of work. Together in 1 day, they do: 1/10 + 1/15 = (3 + 2) Γ· 30 = 5/30 = 1/6 of work. So they complete the work in 6 days.
