Question
A and B can complete a task in 6 days working together. A alone works twice as fast as
B. If A works alone for 2 days and B finishes the rest, how many more days does B take?
Solution
ATQ,
A = 2B rate
→ together 1/6
→ (2B + B)/6 = 1
→ 3B = 1/6
→ B = 1/18, A = 1/9 Work done by A in 2 days = 2/9 → Remaining = 7/9 → Time by B = (7/9) ÷ (1/18) = 14 days
