Aβs 1-day work = 1/12 Bβs 1-day work = 1/18 Together, 1-day work = 1/12 + 1/18 LCM of 12 and 18 = 36 1/12 = 3/36, 1/18 = 2/36 So together = (3 + 2)/36 = 5/36 Time to complete work = 1 Γ· (5/36) = 36/5 = 7.2 days
