Question
Aman and Bhuvan can complete a work in 21 days together,
while Bhuvan alone can do it in 35 days. If the ratio of efficiencies of Aman and Chintu is 2:3, find the ratio of efficiencies of Bhuvan and Chintu.Solution
ATQ,
Let total work = 105 units {LCM of 21 and 35}
Efficiency of (Aman + Bhuvan) = 105/21 = 5 units/day
Efficiency of Bhuvan = 105/35 = 3 units/day
Therefore, efficiency of Aman = 5 – 3 = 2 units/day
Efficiency of Chintu = 2 × (3/2) = 3 units/day
Required ratio = 3 : 3 = 1 : 1
