    A can complete a piece of work in 27 days. A does the work in 27 days =1 A does the work in 1 day =1/27 A does the work in 21 days = (1/27) ×21=7/9 Remaining work =1-7/9 =2/9 Remaining work finished by B in 8 days =8×9/2=36days. A and B together finish the work – 27                36           108 4                  3 =108/4+3 =108/7   =15(3/7) days.
